It hits Gabrielle

You run full speed into the narrow hallway. Once out of the daemon lord’s reach you turn around. Gabrielle is following closely behind, but suddenly the tip of a shadowy spear bursts through her chest.
Gabrielle opens her mouth, but doesn’t scream. She instead falls silently onto her hands and knees. You rush out the hallway and pull your friend up. As you drag her into the hall you can hear Thoros bellow.
“No matter where you run or hide, your friend belongs to me now!”
Whatever, he’s just taunting you. You throw Gabrielle’s arm over your shoulder and help her further down the hall. Thoros and the daemons that were with him can’t follow you here, the passage is way too small for them to pass through.

You and Gabrielle follow the hallways until you head around a corner, then the passage splits up. The left will lead you to the stables, the right will bring you to the baths. While you are thinking about your choices, Gabrielle starts talking.
“Sabine, you should … leave me behind.”
“What are you saying, Gabrielle.” You reply. You are a fellow sister, a friend even. I will not abandon you.”
Gabrielle shakes her head and says, “You don’t understand. This spear inside me. It is full of … corrupting energy … which is flowing into my body. It is only a matter of time … until I become a daemon. If you want to save yourself … you need to leave me here.”

You bite your lower lip in frustration. Leaving behind a friend, even if she asks you for it, it feels wrong. Like something a paladin would never do.
As you ponder leaving the dark skinned sister behind, you look down the left passage, then the right.
