Take a look at what's going on.

You'd get up from your seat and walked your way over to the front gate. There you'd see a small crowd of what looked like a bunch of peasant from a different town. You couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. While you didn't mind the occasional travelers, a band of angry townsfolk from miles off were a headache to deal with.

"Hey hey hey. The hell's going on here?" You'd call out. Your eyes scanned the area. One of the guys that worked for you, town watchman, was heading in the direction of the village center. He was probably going to get reinforcements, and seeing as these guys were carrying wooden planks and tools, it was the best option if things went south.

"We want our damn woman, that's what. Who the fuck are you? Gion's ****? Get out of our way!" Came one of them. You bit your tongue for now, playing it cool. You didn't need to get roughed up right now, especially when your boys were on their way.

"Actually, gentleman, I am the official of the town watch in this little town of ours. I'm the guy who handles disputes like the one you seem to have. How about you take a moment and explain what's going on." You'd tell him.

He huffed at you and replied "What's going on is, I was arranged a marriage with the Lord's daughter here. Me and my boys have already sent the wedding gifts to him, now I want my bride. Instead of setting up the wedding, Lord Gion ran off on us."

"Really? Huh. Well, did he give the wedding gifts back?" You asked, to which the man said that Gion had returned the gifts. "Then what the hell is your problem? You got your stuff back, they rejected the marriage, and they left."

"We don't want money or gifts, I want my damn woman!" The man stated in reply.

"I don't know what to tell you, guy, but I'm really guessing that Lord Gion's answer is a rock solid 'no'. If I were you, I'd fine the nearest road to get myself lost on." You had just about enough of these guys already. It was about that time that you felt a fist grab onto your shirt and pull you to the floor.

For a brief moment, their little gang had started to beat on you. But you had delayed long enough for help to arrive. You could hear your guys all the way down the street. "Get your hands off my boss!" Came the loudest one. You'd push yourself from the ground and up onto your feet while your watchmen chased off the other townsmen. Beating on them as they ran off.

You'd dust yourself off, smiling to yourself. "So, Lord Gion's got an daughter for marriage?" You'd say to yourself. Well now, this changes things nicely. Might be nice to have a girl who will help you out. Heavens knew the headaches you got dealing with people these days.
