Take Adella out

There's ****! You can't let Adella slaughter your girlfriend.

You go for it and sprint like crazy, but Lena comes out of nowhere and screens you! You try to get around her, but it's too late.

Adella sends Beth flying and knocks down a goal, but the goal doesn't even get counted because the coaches and players are coming onto the field to get Beth, who's lying in the grass.

Five minutes later you have to watch Beth carried off the field on a stretcher.

Adella is benched, and the exercise match goes on with a coach in as sub, but no one's heart is in it.

When it's over you go to the locker room and sit, not even noticing the girls changing and showering. You wait until they're gone, quickly clean up, then head for the infirmary.

Beth is there with her coach and the nurse. Her knee is fractured.

"Four to six weeks," the dark-haired nurse is saying.

"Eight," the British coach says, seeing you in the doorway.

"Hi," you say.

Beth smiles at you.

"Move and you're dead," the coach says to Beth, who smiles at her too.

"I'll get you some food," the nurse says.

"For her too," Beth says quickly, pointing at you.

There's not much to say. Sports injuries are a bitch. There's no good time for a fractured knee, but it could be worse. Beth will miss out on camp, but camp is just training. It's not tryouts at least.

You sit with her until the nurse brings the food. Beth tries to be cheerful, but it's hard, and she's in pain. And it pisses you off. This wasn't necessary.

Adella just did it to be a bitch.

"Sorry we can't go dancing," Beth tells you. She's holding your hand.

Not as sorry as you are. It would've been your first date. You are so mad!

"I'm still going," you say.

"What?" She looks hurt.

"She's going."

"Adella?"

"So I'm going."

She gives you a weird look. "Gonna avenge me?"

"Yeah."

"How?"

"You'll see."
