*spoilers from Thor: Love and Thunder*

"Why can't we just speak to him now?" Jane whispered.

"No! Never interrupt a good entrance!" Thor said giddily. "I idolised this guy growing up. I actually took a lot of inspiration from him."

Valkyrie rolled her eyes and slumped back in her chair, drumming her fingers on the wooden arm. Was this really the legendary Zeus? Judging by the reaction of the room, everyone loved him; but Valkyrie doubted anyone loved him more than himself.

"Valkyrie! Stop that!" Thor admonished.

"Well get down there and speak to him then!" Jane retorted.

"Who is talking?" Zeus bellowed, making the three of them jump. "You down there? You have something to share with the class?"

"Who me?" Jane asked. "No, it was just...sorry!"

"Come down to the stage and tell us all what is so important that you had to interrupt! And bring your little friend with you!"

"Little-!" Valkyrie fumed as Jane clasped her hand and pulled her along the row and down the stairs.

The duo stepped onto the circular platform in the centre of the cavernous chamber, feeling like naughty school children.

"Well?" Zeus asked. "What is it you have to say?"

"We-we...err...are the mood Gods!" Valkyrie announced, unconvincingly. "We come to seek an audience with you, oh mighty Zeus!"

"No, no, no!" Zeus laughed. "Who are you really? Let us take off your disguise and expose the real you."

And before either of the girls could stop him, Zeus leaned forwards and FLICKED his fingers-
