Syd vs The Archimago: The trap (part 2)

Convinced of his path to victory Syd in his human form charged at Citrinas with his fist high, he knew that in his current form, his attack would likely do negligible damage at best and given how the heroine just ignored him, she most likely had already seen how ineffective his attack was going to be, but that hardly mattered what was important was that she let him get close something she would likely never had let happen if her foresight could see further than her mare 6 seconds, of course, she might have decided to attack him anyway but if she did he would had activated one of his traps to distract her.

Having confirmed with her future visions no attack was coming from a different direction she finally turned her attention to her attacker, however, the moment she did she inexplicably squinted her eyes in pain, knowing this was his que Syd manifested a "Disjunction Blast" potion from his [Inventory] and swung it like a bat towards Citrinas head, to her credit Archimago did try to avoid it despite her eyes being closed but was too late the flask smashed onto her head disorienting her even further and dispelling most of her magical defences, not waiting for her to recover Syd manifested a second potion and hit her again this time inflicting her with dimensional anchor to make sure she could not escape finally to press his advantage even further he activated a silence potion he was carrying.

Finally able to recover Archimago moved her hands violently gathering magic energy to her fingertips however unaware of the silence effect she tried to finish her spell with a shout, causing the energy to disperse harmlessly into the air immediately realising what was wrong she flicked her wrist unleashing a rainbow coloured wave towards Syd, not wasting a moment Syd activated every potion in his person, this was a suicide attack but thankfully his polymorphed form would absorb all the damage meaning the only one affected would be Citrinas, who had lost most of her defences and should have no time for a counter spell since she had just cast two spells.

When the smoke cleared Syd found himself in his flower form deep inside a crater caused by the explosion. As for Citrinas, she was levitating a few feet away from him unharmed, however much more shocking than that was that the entire forest was just... Gone it took a long moment for the former human to realise what had just happened.
Citrinas in an effort to counter his multitude of spells had without signs, words or materials unleashed magical explosion of incomprehensible power to "blast away" his magical attacks.

It was at this moment that Syd realised for the first time the monsters he was against and how reckless it was for him to engage one of them so openly.
