Swap some random people

You took out the remote and put it down on the towel between you. This action, once again, set off the remote to a random swap. Thankfully, again, Zoe was touching the remote already and so would also notice the change.

You sighed, “Time to search again”

“Time to search again” Zoe agreed.

The two of you spent a good ten to twenty minutes looking around you, trying to spot who was changed, but you couldnt see anything. This was because the remote swapped two random passer bys, one who could now only speak chinese to their french family, and one who could now only speak french to their chinese family. It wa san unfortunate swap, but reality would help them.

“Oh well” Zoe said, “I cant see any of our friends being changes, I suppose it was elsewhere.”

“Im sure it must be” you said, “shall we pick a swap though?”

“Ooo. Yes. Lets go over there and choose.” the two of you got up off the towel and walked towards a gathering of your friends, all playing some beachside game. You kept your distance, preferring to observe than get involved.
