Suspicions

Upon meeting Caroline, Sadie became a little leery of her. Why was she being so overly friendly? Was she into cute, young girls? Could she possibly be part of the pedophile ring they were trying to bust? Maybe she was just overthinking it, but it all seemed suspicious. She saw the way she looked at herself and Carly, and it was more like a lustful hunger that couldn't be sated.

"So here's your first assignment," she heard Thereaux say. She left her thoughts and suspicions behind, and paid close attention to what was being said. "We've had a growing number of missing girls who were last seen around the old warehouse district. I want you to get your cute little ass down there and investigate every warehouse, one by one, if you have to. We've got to find out where these girls are, and where they're being taken to after that. Since Officer Graspper knows the city quite well, she will also accompany you. Just stay alert. Keep your eyes open. I'd hate to see either of you get captured. But in case of that event happening, we're going to wire you both for sound and video. Are there any questions?" Thereaux waited. No one raised their hand. "You will be dressed as school girls who are walking home from school. We have specially made books for you to carry. Inside the books you will find a forty-five caliber pistol, and three ammo clips. Use them only if needed. You'll also find a good number of zip ties you can use to restrain your suspects with." He looked long and hard at Carly and Sadie. "That is all. Good luck ladies. Now both of you head down to IT to get fitted for wires and video cameras."

With the meeting adjourned, the two women headed out of the briefing room. Sadie pondered over telling Carly what she thought of Caroline as they walked along the corridor toward the stairwell that would take them below to IT. She couldn't stand it any longer.

"Excuse me Officer Graspper, but there's something bothering me," Sadie began.

Carly looked at her and smiled. "You don't have to call me Officer Graspper. Just call me Carly. We're going to be working together, so we may as well get on a first name basis. It'll be more convincing that way, also. But any way, what's bothering you Sadie?"

"It's the look that we both got from Caroline," she replied. "She was looking at us like we were Texas steaks waiting to be served. It made me feel terribly uncomfortable. It's like she was checking us both out, sizing us up for some reason."

"Sadie, Caroline is bisexual. But she likes women more than she does men. Let's just say I've had my moments with her, and she does have a lust for women. Especially when they look as young as we do. So what else do you have for me?"

"The young looking part is what bothers me," answered Sadie. "It just made me suspicious the way she was practically drooling all over us. But you know her better than I do, since you two have known each other intimately. Do you think she could be a member of the pedophile ring we're trying to bust?" Finally the question she had been wanting to ask came out. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Carly actually took this seriously. Could Caroline be in on the pedophile ring? They always seemed to be one step ahead of them when it came to busting them. A mole in the squad would be just the thing they'd need to warn them. "I don't think she is, but we should keep a close eye on her when we're around her from now on. You never know who your friends or enemies are."

The girls continued their trip to IT. They quickly changed into school uniforms, then were wired up with a live mike and a small, hidden camera that was actually a blouse button in disguise. They were shown their school books, and how to use them when they needed them. All that was left was to get going, and gather as much information as possible about the warehouses.
