Chapter 2
by Twinklestar75
Who is our family?
Susan (Mother, Divorced,40) Chesley (Daughter, 18)
"What a little Asshole" I said under breath as I read the email from Kevin. He was supposed to come on this as well but now, he has 'work plans'. I was packing for the trip anyway when I got the message. I was hoping that Chesley would have a bonding experience with us, her stupid parents who decided to fuck each other, get married, and have a kid.
Definitely in that order.
He always does shit like this. Of course, I always point it out like the little bitch I am. We fight and Chesley proves she is more mature person than either of us and break up the fight.
It's why I had him move out. It was quickly followed by an amicable divorce. This provided Chesley with the peace she needed to flourish. I am glad I was able think like an adult for at least a couple years.
Since then she has flourished, volleyball, top of her class, Honor society and a full ride to College. She had friends and picked them wisely. She worked hard at everything she did and it showed.
I dated a bit but really focused on my career. I hadn't wanted to confuse it all with a relationship. I wanted to focus making the best opportunities for Chesley and as little stress for her as possible. At least, that's what I told myself.
Since he wasn't going, I told Chesley she could invite one of her friends. We had a room at an all inclusive resort in the Bahamas. A small island with several different resorts on it mostly for Adults but the one we were staying was "family friendly". I could easily take a day to visit another one while my daughter and whoever she chose was doing something else
I was completely impressed and a little shocked with her choice of guest.
What's next?

Plus One
No so family friendly vacation
As a graduation present, one father allows his daughter to bring one friend along on their final family summer vacation before she heads off to college in the fall. What follows is anything but family friendly. One extra guest on the annual family trip will either bring them together in ways never imagined, or rip the family apart.
