Surprisingly Calm

“I need a shower” Lucy said, acting calm even after everything that had happened.

She started to get up off the bed when you reached out your hand to stop her. You wanted to ask her if she was okay with everything that had happened or if she wanted to talk about what the two of you had done but you expected her to either shrug it off, or the conversation ending up in an argument between the two of you. Letting you go out into the hallway first, Lucy balled up her clothes in her arms and walked away from you towards the bathroom. You checked the time and saw that it was later than you expected, making your hopes rise when thinking about Lucy potentially levelling up.

“I’ve got a few things to do first but I’ll try and join you downstairs. I also appreciate you having invited Rebecca to have a meal here so I’m planning on bringing that up to Mom” you said, hoping Sarah would back you up once again.

“Does Mom already know about… you know, the two of you?” Sarah asked sheepishly, looking unsure of how to breach the topic.

“She does but I don’t think it will be an issue. At least I’m hoping so” you replied, not having put too much thought into Mom’s reaction.

Lucy was also aware of Rebecca though, so that might be something you have to worry about.

“Alright I can do that. I’ll meet you downstairs then” Sarah responded, leaving her room and giving you a pat on the shoulder as she walked passed.

Not missing an opportunity to watch another of your family members walk away from you, you saw that Sarah had gotten changed and was now wearing some more casual high-waisted running shorts that showed off her toned figure well. Again, Sarah didn’t check to see if you were looking as she turned to head down the stairs and you headed to your room once she was out of your sight. You finally put down your bag in its usual place for the first time tonight and sat down at your desk, bringing up your phone to finally check the KDK. You tried to lower your expectation but you also knew that if you were close to Lucy levelling up, you still had a chance to fill the rest up during dinner when you said grace so not all hope was lost.
