Surprise Visitors

As Adam stood in the elevator alone, heading home with the intent to shower, he couldn't help but think. He could understand the need to maintain the population, but to intentionally neglect any kind of contraceptive? That's sounds like a step too far.

After a while, the elevator doors opened up to Adam's floor and he walked towards his home. Before he could even reach it, Adam saw the Mariana twins waiting outside his door. He was a little surprised to see them so soon, and very surprised they know where he lives. Though, as the only man in the vault, maybe that's not so surprising. He was sure word about him spread especially fast, even in a vault this size.

As Adam approached, the Marianas looked up to see him. He was hoping to see happy expressions, but instead saw only anxious smiles. They waved, but their expressions were clearly concerned.

"Hey, are you two alright?" Adam asked when he got close enough.

"Yeah, just..." Mari said, fidgeting with her hands.

"We were briefed on something kinda heavy by the Vault's chief medical officer." Ana added.

"I think the Overseer told me the same thing." Adam said, scratching his head from nervous habit.

"About... getting us... pregnant?" Ana asked. Even though her skin was on the darker side, one could still see her blushing.

"Yeah." Adam confirmed, feeling just as bashful. "I was told I need to start trying to impregnate others. So, I understand if you two want to end things." He made for his door, expecting that to be the end of it. Instead, the twins both looked at me with surprise.

"What? We don't want to stop hooking up with you." Ana said.

"Yeah, it's just... awkward to admit we're kinda... into it." Mari said, blushing like her sister. "Getting pregnant, I mean."

"You... you want to get pregnant?" Adam look at them wide eyed. "We just met today. Are you really sure about this?"

"Yeah, I mean. I gotta admit, it's kinda hot when you think about it, right?" Ana said.

"It's not like on the surface. We'll be taken care of no matter what." Mari added. "Also, you can be a involved or not as much as you want."

Adam blink at them, partly in disbelief and partly trying to understand what they just implied. "Are you saying you're be OK with me knocking you both up and never interacting with you again?"

"Well, more like we'd be OK if you didn't want to act like a father." Mari corrected.

"Yeah, even after getting pregnant, we'd like to keep hooking up or even just hanging out, you know?" Ana added.

Adam just stood there, staring at them. "And... neither of you are looking for long term romance?"

"Yeah, it sounds like a dream or a trap, right?" Mari laughed. "I promise, you're free to knock up anyone else and we won't feel bitter about it."

"Hell, we might be able to get you in good with a few other ladies." Ana winked. Adam imagine the twins coming to his home with a new girl every few days and couldn't help but smile at the idea.

"Well, would you girls like to start trying tonight?" Adam ask, opening his front door and inviting them in.

"Yes, please." They say in unison, walking into my home. Tonight is going to be amazing.
