Supplements
Tara spent the evening prepping her notes for tomorrow's case. Her client Serena Grant needed to be a key win.
Grant V Welltechy
Serena Grant is a well known nutritionist and media personality. A bit sensational but that was her brand. Out there and kooky. Funny and informative.
Welltechy is a big wellness YouTube channel that promotes their own content and reviews other creators. Often worked with Serena on some occasions.
Welltechy claimed in their videos that Serena was likely taking bribes from pharmaceutical companies and promoting their supplements. Leading to negative impact on patients.
Tara stood in court in her white blouse and grey skirt. A golden necklace. Beautiful and strong.
“The truth isn’t optional when you publish to millions. Welltechy knew they were posting opinions that could damage my clients reputation, and they continued to hold their stance for months. Ignoring the facts, and claiming their opinions to be facts themselves. It is a cold clear case of defamation,” Tara said.
“Your honour, scrunity is not defamation…whether we like it or not public figures are subject to commentary. Our constitution protects free speech. A reputation this fragile doesn’t need a YouTube channel to break it,” the opposition said.
“Scrutiny had evidence. Scrutiny has sources. Welltechy had none of these. See this email by Welltechy editor and chief, Winnie Parker…” Tara said.
Serena Grant is the darling of mainstream medicine and she fucks her way to the top. Slut. Someone needs to take her down.
“Welltechy had malicious intent to defame my client. They did not investigate my client. They spouted lies about bribery, fuelled by an unwarranted hatred.”
There was a pause as the judge deliberated.
“The court has reviewed the evidence and has found Welltechy had deliberate intent to harm the plaintiff. Welltechy failed to prove opinion as fact. And rules in favour of Serena Grant.”
There was a roar of applause from one side of the room. Tara eased. This was a clear cut easy case. Her bosses would be pleased with this win.
