Chapter 22 by Cham3leon Cham3leon

What do you say?

Suggest you finish the night inside [Charm<=35%]

"So," you say, giving your best dashing smile, "How would you feel about finishing the night inside your cabin?"

Her smile falters, a serious shadow falling over her face. She just looks at you for several seconds, thinking. Your can almost feel your rush of confidence drying up. Finally, she asks, "Is this what you wanted all along?"

"No!" you protest, somewhat unconvincingly, a note of uncertainty in your voice. "Well, of course it crossed my mind, but I -"

"I should have known," sighs Gabrielle, cutting you off. You think about arguing your case, but decide to stay quiet. "I like you, Felix. I really do. You're{if Body>40%} really handsome. And{endif} a really thoughtful guy. But if all you care about is sleeping with me... then you're not right for me."

"I don't just care about that," you say honestly. "I want to go on more fun dates like this one, with you. I like spending time with you!"

Gabrielle gives you another look, tilting her head ever so slightly. "You know, I believe you."

"You do?" You perk up, a glimmer of hope reignited.

"Yes," she smiles. God, she's beautiful. "But that doesn't redeem you. Let's go our separate ways. Once you realise sex isn't the end goal of a relationship, but merely one part of it, perhaps you and I can try again."

You're not happy with being turned down, but Gabrielle's words give you hope for a future relationship with her. "Okay."

"Goodnight, Felix. Thank you for a nice evening." With that, she turns and enters her suite,{if Body>40} giving you one last smile{endif} before closing the door behind her.

You sigh, thinking of what could have been. You head back towards Lodge 69, thinking about whether you want to try and win her back in the future, if she's even worth the effort. Sure, she's the most desirable, beautiful woman you've ever seen, that common men would kill to even get near - but you are at the USE after all. You have options.

Gabrielle: {if@ {Gabrielle's date}>=0}+{endif}{Gabrielle's date}%
