Suggest going to find Dan

Leanne was feeling less comfortable about her situation after what had happened and Marie wasn’t helping matters. She still wasn’t sure if the rotund little figure was aware of her condition or not, but it certainly seemed like she was taking advantage of it and enjoying every awkward moment it led to.

“Maybe I should go find Dan now,” suggested Leanne. She would have preferred to be with the good-looking staff member over Marie anyway, but she also had a feeling he’d be more protective of her in her moment of need.

“We should just go back to sit with grandad,” countered Marie. “He’ll be wondering where we are.”

Leanne began obediently following the imp-like girl as she waddled happily down the corridor when she had a sudden realisation. “Actually, Dan promised to show me round the place and I haven’t really seen anything yet. You go back to your grandad and I’ll find you after.”

“But grandad really wants to talk to you, Leanne,” replied Marie. “Come with me to visit grandad.”

“That’s okay,” came the response. “I’ll just do it later.” Leanne was backing away down the corridor feeling no real urge to follow the chubby girl’s request. There was a look of surprise mixed with disappointment in Marie’s expression.

“Leanne, come with me. I really think you need to.” This time she spoke more forcefully but Leanne continued in her retreat.

“I’m sure you’ll be okay with him on your own for now. I’ll come find you.” Hurriedly Leanne disappeared down the corridor and around the corner before Marie had chance to chase after her. Was the power of whatever she’d drunk finally over? And if it really had, how long had it been gone? She refused to think what she’d was entirely voluntarily.

Now she could find Dan and hopefully some kind of normality. The problem was she had no idea where he might be.
