Sue Storm Needed To Relax, And Dr. Stone Couldn't Let Her Drink Alone

"We were doing our roleplaying therapy," Dr. Stone said. "You got emotional. Started crying. You unloaded about your miscarriage. I thought a drink might help. And I couldn't let you drink alone, so..."

Sue Storm suddenly realized there were three bottles on the desk. Two of them were empty. Suddenly, the pounding in her head and the overall feel of body horribleness made sense. She had gotten blackout drunk with her psychiatrist.

"Is that...professional?" Sue said, as she suddenly realized her tongue tasted furry.

"Well, I wouldn't advise you to use **** as a substitute for therapy," Karla said. "And I admit, we overdid it a bit. You blacked out an hour or two ago. I called your husband and explained that we'd had a breakthrough, that you were emotional, I wanted to stay with you until you were okay. He was very considerate."

Sue sniffed. She scratched at her chest, right between her bare breasts. It really hurt for some reason.

"And the reason we're topless?" Sue asked.

"I was hot, you were hot, we were both hot," Karla said. She poured two more shots. "Anyway. Hair of the dog seemed like the best thing, once you came to."

The Invisible Woman frowned. The quip was light, easy...yet she could see that Karla was sweating. Beads of sweat that ran down the slim woman's ribs. She found her eye fixed on a drop that hung on the very tip of one stiff pink nipple. Sue tried to search her memory of the last few hours. There was nothing. "What else happened last night?" Sue Storm said, on instinct. Suddenly sure that Karla hadn't told her everything.

Karla hesitated. She took a sip from the shot glass. Licked her lips. Signs of nervousness. Or a very convincing bluff.

"Well," she said. "I wasn't going to mention it, since apparently you had a blackout. But since you ask, I need to be honest. Last night, we were drunk. Emotional. You were pouring out your heart, I was telling stories about my past, and well...we..."
