Sue Storm Loses Control of Her Enhanced Powers

One moment, the gigantic sentinels were reaching for her, their cold, emotionless faces fixed on securing her. The Invisible Woman had already put up a shield around her, was planning angles of attack...

...then she saw as one of their gigantic feet casually crushed a baby stroller.

It was like a primal scream, without the scream.

A burst of invisible **** erupted in every direction. The sentinels were shredded in an instant, torn apart by a tumult of forces that their sensors could not detect. Yet so was the street, the buildings. The sphere of invisible destruction grew and grew as something broke inside of Sue Storm, some inner limit breached. It felt so good to just give in...

It was a struggle for Sue to stop. To control herself. To come back to herself.

When she sank, naked, her costume blasted apart by the **** of her exertion, the blonde opened her eyes and saw the devastation.

Three blocks of New York City were gone. Leveled. People floated, serene and unhurt in invisible bubbles. A mother scrabbled madly against the invisible shell, and with a thought Sue moved her to the bubble where her baby lay. The moment before the Sentinel would have crushed her, Sue must have instinctively protected the infant with an invisible bubble.

With a thought, Sue covered her own nudity with invisibility, leaving only head and hands visible as she gently lowered the people she had saved to the ruined earth and set them free.

Helicopters flew overhead. Sirens came closer. Water mains and gas mains had burst, power lines were down. No one was killed, but the property damage was easily within the millions. As if a category five hurricane had raged inside an invisible snowglobe.

Sue Storm stood there, at once giddy at the outburst of power...and anguished at her loss of control.

"What do I do now?" the Invisible Woman wondered aloud, as she stared at the devastation she had wrought.
