How does Sue Storm's second appointment with Moonstone go?
Sue Storm Is Encouraged To Seek Sexual Relief (But Not Find It)
"Ugh, what a week I've had..." Sue Storm said as she slid into the chair opposite Dr. Stone. The blonde was dressed more conservatively today, in an ankle-length grey skirt and a tight-fitting sweater, her blonde hair done up in a bun. The Invisible Woman smiled as she accepted a cup of tea from the other woman. From behind her glasses, Moonstone surveyed her prey carefully.
"Tell me about it," Dr. Stone said, and there was the tiniest buzz as she gave Sue Storm's brain a little nudge.
Sue spoke, a bit guardedly at first, and then with more candor, about the frustration she had felt lately. How short her temper seemed to be. How frequently she'd had to take breaks from interacting with the children, how exasperated she got with Reed and the others as the week went on. Then the scene with the Moloids in the tunnel.
"I mean, I could keep it together. I'm a professional. It was a job well done, nobody got hurt. Optimal solution all around," Sue said.
"But?" Dr. Stone raised an eyebrow and sipped her own cup of tea.
The Invisible Woman hesitated. Moonstone tried to be patient. She had gone pretty far, actually hypnotizing Sue Storm last time. It was better to use her power as the surgeon uses a scalpel, not a power drill.
"I've been...I've found myself looking at adult material lately, before bed," Sue said, in a tone of confession.
"You're a grown woman. Nothing illegal about that. I like to look at such material myself," Dr. Stone said.
"I...realize that. I know it. Intellectually. Yet I was raised to think that porn was dirty. Naughty," the heroine's cheeks burned a little as she said the word "porn."
"But you enjoy it?" Dr. Stone said. "You find comfort in looking at it?"
"I...I think I do," Sue said.
"And you're doing it in private? Just for a little while at night? Not around the kids?" Dr. Stone set her empty cup down next to the teapot on the little table just to the side of them both.
"Yes. I'd never expose..." Sue cleared her throat as she heard the pitch of her voice rise. She set the cup down next to the doctor's. "It's totally private. Just a little private entertainment."
"Not affecting your duties at all?" Dr. Stone pressed. "You're not avoiding your husband to look at porn, or looking at it on your phone during an adventure?"
"No! Of course not!" Sue said emphatically.
"Then what's the problem?" Dr. Stone said.
"It's just...I just...feel...naughty," Sue paused between the words as she saught to express the emotions she couldn't properly name.
Dr. Stone changed tactics slightly.
"How is your sexual relationship with your husband?" she asked.
Sue's blush deepened and spread as she answered.
"We...haven't had sex this week," The Invisible Woman admitted.
"And have you taken care of your sexual urges yourself?" Dr. Stone asked.
"What do you mean?" Sue said automatically, with a touch more defensiveness than she wished.
"Masturbation," Dr. Stone said. "Sexual health and satisfaction is a part of overall wellness, Susan. If you have needs that aren't being taken care of by your husband, then you need to find a way to take care of them. Or else your stress will build and build, and then it will impact your parenting, your marriage, your life as a superheroine."
The Invisible Woman blinked and frowned. She sank into the chair, the tips of her toes and fingers suddenly tingly. She didn't answer right away, and Dr. Stone leaned forward. The sun through the window struck the psychiatrist's blonde hair and seemed to make a golden corona.
"You have masturbated before, haven't you Susan?"
"Yes," the answer came without conscious thought.
"You should touch yourself during your nightly porn viewing," Dr. Stone said, a hint of command in her voice. Sue's eyelids fluttered heavily as microgravitic fluctuations kicked her brain into a state of ultimate suggestibility.
"Yes," Sue said, barely conscious.
"Touch yourself, but do not bring yourself to climax. Do your understand?"
"Yes."
"If you cum without your husband's cock, that would be CHEATING," Dr. Stone put emphasis on the word. She could feel several portions of Sue Storm's brain light up as they processed the word, its implications. New neural connections were made in the Invisible Woman's grey matter.
"You don't want to CHEAT on your husband, do you Sue?" Dr. Stone asked.
"No."
"You want to stay faithful to him. But you will touch yourself."
"Yes."
"What do you not want to do?"
"Cheat."
"What do you want to do?"
"Touch myself."
"Now repeat after me," Dr. Stone said, and her eyes began to glow again. The buzz of Doom's implants was like a song in her skull. "Cumming is cheating."
"Cumming is cheating," Sue Storm repeated automatically.
"What is cumming?"
"Cheating."
"What is cheating?
"Cumming."
"Make that your mantra," Dr. Stone told Sue, as the psychiatrist eased back into her chair and smoothed her shirt. "Repeat it for me. Let it sink down inside of you, and every time you say it makes it more true.
"Cheating is cumming, cumming is cheating. Cheating is cumming, cumming is cheating. Cheating is cumming, cumming is..."
The Invisible Woman blinked at the crack of the plastic cap. Dr. Stone took a swig from the bottled water she had just opened. Sue looked down into her hands and saw her own half-open bottle, and took a sip.
"Well, I want to thank you for being so open with me this session," Dr. Stone said with a smile.
Sue blinked and stood up. The sun through the windows had left her face feel as though it burned, but she stood up with a smile. A part of her wondered if she did feel better, to get all that off her chest. She still felt oddly tense.
"I hope you feel better, and take care of yourself this week. I expect a full report of how you're coming along next time," Dr. Stone added as she extended her hand.
Automatically, Sue reached out to grasp the woman's strong hand. Yet something about what Dr. Stone had just said bothered Sue. She felt a little wave of guilt or shame. It was so peculiar that Sue could only wonder at it for a moment.
"Something wrong?" Dr. Stone said, obviously in tune with Sue's moment of introspection.
"No, sorry," Sue said with a smile. "Just...thinking about what we talked about, is all. I'll com—I'll see you next week!"
With that, one of the most powerful women in the world walked out of Moonstone's office for a second time. The villain bit her lip as she watched her go—and wondered if she hadn't overdone it a bit with the word association, this early in the process.
How does Moonstone's programming affect Sue Storm's life?
