Chapter 3 by Zeebop Zeebop

When strikes the Shocker?

Sue Storm Is Attending A Luncheon For Women In STEM

"...today's guest, Susan Storm-Richards of the Fantastic Four!"

The Invisible Woman stood up, a smile on her face. She'd opted for a grey striped pantsuit and heels for today's luncheon. The women at the tables clapped politely as she made her way to the lectern. Doctors, professors, professional engineers, scientists, graduate students—some of the best and brightest women in New York. The invitation came after Sue published a paper reporting on a bit of research she'd done on microbial samples she'd taken in the Negative Zone.

The luncheon itself was held outside, the cloth on the tables a brilliant white under the sun. White-coated wait staff brought mimosas and small plates of appetizers. Sue had a whole speech prepared, about work-life balance. It felt good to get out of the Baxter Building, to be out here among other women, to get the feeling that she had a place beyond her powers and her position as a wife, mother, sister...

...and then there was a series of gunshots that cracked the air. Behind the lectern, Sue could see the explosion that sent the car into the air before she could hear it. Instinctively, the Invisible Woman threw up her arms and placed an invisible wall over the entire luncheon. The car crashed into the invisible ceiling and women beneath began to scream.

A figure emerged from the building across the street. Sue's blue eyes narrowed as she made out the brown and yellow costume as he raised his gauntlets and the air crackled between his closed fist and the gun-toting security guards, who flew back when the blast reached them. A duffel bag was slung across his chest, a few loose greenbacks spilled out. With the barest grunt of mental effort, the invisible forcefield moved, so that the car landed in the street right in front of the Shocker.

"Excuse me ladies!" Sue said as she stepped up onto the table, and then forward onto a series of invisible columns. To onlookers, it appeared that the well-dressed blonde literally walked on air, but Sue was busy shaping invisible forcefields to box the villain in. She vaguely recognized him from the shared Avengers/Fantastic Four database as one of Spider-Man's villains.

Instinctively, the Shocker tried to run. He ran straight into an invisible wall, bounced off of it, and hit another one behind him. Like some kind of costumed mime, the villain quickly discovered he was trapped. Sue could almost feel his panic build.

"Surrender!" she said confidently as she crossed the street, traffic coming to a halt as it watched her walk across the empty air.

The Shocker turned and pointed one metal-clad fist at her. Sue's mouth formed a thin-lipped smile. If he tried to blast through her invisible forcefields, he was in for a surprise.

So was she.

The air shimmered around his clenched fist as a vibratory burst erupted from his arm. It smashed against the invisible forcefield...and then, to Sue's surprise, she felt a body-wide tingle. Like tha time she had tried one of those vibrating massage chairs. The shock of being able to feel anything through her forcefield almost shook the heroine's concentration, but the Invisible Woman set her feet apart and held her hands in the air, to better redouble her concentration and visualization.

"Give it up!" she said, glad she was able to keep her voice steady.

She watched the Shocker begin to panic. He backed away, brought up his other arm...and Sue braced herself as he doubled the power of his ****.

The body-wide buzz increased. The Invisible Woman grimaced as she felt her body pummelled. Not sure how this was happening. The worst part was that it wasn't exactly unpleasant. It was like a body-wide vibrating massage. On her breasts...her pussy...despite herself, Sue could feel a heat flush through her body at the sudden, unexpected stimulation. Her face flushed. She wasn't sure how the Shocker was doing this, but she needed to end this confrontation now.

Her hands twists, wrists crossed in mid-air...and the invisible box that caught the criminal twisted as well, pinned his arms against his sides, and hugged him tight enough that he could probably feel his ribs begin to creak.

"Mistake, bitch," the Shocker said.

If Spider-Man was there, he could have told Sue that the Shocker didn't need to use his guantlets to direct his vibrations. That they could emanate from anywhere on his suit. Now, more of her forcefields were in close contact with him.

So he unleashed his suit at maximum power.

How does that affect Sue Storm?
