Sue Storm Finds It Impossible To Say 'No'
"This technology was initially adapted to reform criminals," H.E.R.B.I.E. explained. "It is designed to make it impossible for them to disobey the law or resist authority figures. Unfortunately, this made them very easily exploited by police officers. Do you understand?"
"I think so," Sue Storm said. She looked at her hands. Not a tremor or tremble. Her body yearned for sex, yet somehow the sensation was distant, like it happened to someone else. An odd, almost serene calm engulfed her. This was fine.
"You cannot say no. It makes you extremely vulnerable," the robot said. "As such, this is only a temporary measure. It must be reversed when Mr. Richards returns. Or someone could order you to do anything."
Sue Storm cocked her head.
"Can you order me to do something?" she asked.
"I am not programmed for subversion," the small robot hung its head.
"What if I order you to order me to do something?"
"I am not programmed for subversion," the robot repeated.
Sue Storm nodded. No doubt H.E.R.B.I.E. was correct. It was wisest to avoid any unnecessary contact until Reed and the others returned.
In his lair, Porkum drummed his stubby pink fingers on his knee.
"Any movement in the Baxter Building?" he asked.
"None," Doctor Doom's hologram said. "It is possible you have underestimated Sue Storm's resourcefulness."
Porkum scratched his chin.
"Maybe," he said. "But if she isn't gonna come to me, I'll just have to come to her."
How does Porkum attempt to contact Sue Storm?
