Chapter 4 by Zeebop Zeebop

How does Sue Storm handle the giant robots?

Sue Storm Demolishes The Sentinels With Ease

Time seemed to slow as Sue Storm's thoughts raced, faster than they ever had before. In an instant, parts of the gigantic robots became invisible, as if a wave of invisibility had passed through them. In that instant, Sue memorized their schematics. Every nut, bolt, and slotted component.

Then she took them apart.

It was as elegant as it was practically effortless. One moment, the Sentinels loomed over her, in the next, they had been non-violenetly disassembled into their individual components. Sue stacked the pieces carefully on the sidewalk as bystanders stopped running and simply stared.

The Invisible Woman felt—amazing. The power, the precision, it felt so natural. As if she was suddenly working without restraints. Everything was so clear.

"I wonder if this is what Reed feels like, all the time," she wondered.

Sue spoke to the official services when they arrived—first the police, then S.H.I.E.L.D. to pick up the Sentinel components, and finally Damage Control, Inc. who would handle the reconstruction of her hairdresser's shop. Finally, Sue took off into the air. She soared above the city on invisible skates, instinctively adjusting the friction on her forcefields through microscopic adjustments to the surface. Something seemed so easy now, so obvious.

When she arrived in the Baxter Building, flush from exercise, she skated straight to Reed Richard's lab to give him the news about her unexpected power upgrade—and the inevitable series of tests that would follow.

"Sue Storm's powers are significantly upgraded," Doctor Doom replied, as he and Superia observed the footage of the battle. "Our involvement in the incident is hidden."

There was an unspoken doubt in Doom's voice.

"She is superior now," Superia said. "The more threats she faces and overcomes, the deeper her understanding of that will grow—as will her confidence. The limitations of her inferiors will wear on her. She will see the rest of the Fantastic Four holding her back."

"They are normally quite supportive," Doom noted. "A tight-knit family."

Superia shook her head, dismissively. Her eyes were fixed on the screen.

"Men," she almost spat the word. "Soon, she will see how far above them she has become. All she needs is the right...push."

What kind of push does Superia have in mind?
