What Is Sue Storm's Next Betrayal?
Sue Storm Calls Her Girlfriends To The Baxter Building To Meet Porkum
"Hi, Jen? It's Susan. Look, could you come over? I'm...I think Reed and I are getting a divorce, and I need...I mean, I might need a lawyer but what I need right now, tonight, is a friend. Can you come? Thank you. Yes. See you then."
The lies came easier now. The Invisible Woman had already called the Wasp, Mockingbird, Pepper Potts, Black Widow, and Jessica Drew. Captain Marvel was off-planet, or Sue would have called her too. Jennifer Walters, the She-Hulk, was the last. As she put the phone down, Sue watched as the Doombots cleaned up the aftermath of their brief skirmish with her former loved ones. Porkum was busy jerking off into a carafe.
Everything would be ready when the ladies got there.
Sue wore a Fantastic Four uniform with the 4 torn off. The ladies all arrived within minutes of each other, some in costume and some in civilian garb, and for a few minutes it was all hugs and sniffles. The Invisible Woman brought them all up to the dining room, where she poured drinks. A pale white cocktail in each glass.
"To friends," Sue said, as she held it up. All of the women at the table raised their glasses at that. They sipped politely, but the Invisible Woman drained hers to the last drop.
"I guess...I guess it's been coming for a while," she said with a sigh, as she refilled her glass. "You all know how hard it is to be a woman in the superhero world. How hard it is to stay in shape, the impossible expectations—it's not enough to save the world, you have to look like a supermodel while you do it, and pop out a couple of kids too, and not be too sexy."
There was real bitterness in her voice, emotions that Sue didn't have to fake. Long-held frustrations came out as the ladies listened and sipped.
"When I got injured a few weeks ago—and they left me behind—that was really the last straw, I think. Gave me a lot of time to think about how I've been treated. How Reed thinks of me. I know we've tried hard all these years to make it work, but it was always me making the sacrifices for him, me that had to hold the team together when he was away, me that...well, had to do everything else. All the emotional labor of keeping a team and a family together."
Jen looked like she wanted to say something, but held her tongue. She had been Sue's replacement on the team for a while during the Invisible Woman's first pregnancy. Had a better grasp of the team dynamics than anyone else at the table. Sue noticed with satisfaction that she was sipping her cocktail a little more frequently than the others.
"And...there have been sexual problems," Sue admitted. "Reed lost interest when I was pregnant, and then after Valeria—it's like he thought we'd done what we set out to do. Even when I made my own needs known, he had—well, it's a side effect of his powers. Stiffness issues."
"Clint used little blue pills for that," Mockingbird said softly, to lighten the mood. Her own marriage to Hawkeye had been over for a while.
"Maybe we should ask Hank if there's a Pym particle for that," Janet van Dyne, the Wasp, shot back. She licked a bit of white cream off of her lips.
"Tony uses nanites," Pepper Potts added.
"Tony doesn't need nanites, if you tickle his prostate," Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, said catishly. She and Pepper shared a glare from across the table.
Sue Storm sighed. "It's not just Reed's fault. I felt the frustration too. I kept it to myself for a long, long time, and then...well, recently I found sexual satisfaction outside my marriage."
A pin could have hit the floor like a crash of lightning, and none would have turned to stare at it. The whole table was fixed on Sue Storm's confession. She could have branded an A on her chest and been no more visible than she was at that moment.
"You...cheated...on Reed?" Janet said slowly.
Sue nodded.
"Oh honey," the Wasp said. The whole table was awkward, and the ladies sipped their cocktails. In fact, Jen's glass was empty. Sue pushed the carafe towards her, and the tall green woman refilled her glass.
"It's all my fault," Sue said as she held her head in her hands, and stupid tears oozed down her face. They were real tears, too. All the guilt, all the shame that had been building up inside of Sue since she'd first encountered Porkum seemed to spill out in sobs that wracked her body.
"It's not," Mockingbird said after a long moment, as she reached for the carafe to refill her own glass. "You said Reed wasn't taking care of your needs. He has responsibilities as a husband too. I divorced Clint because it wasn't working out. That's what divorce is for. What it's always been for. To help women out of being stuck in bad marriages."
"You know my experience with Hank," Janet said, as she reached out and gave Sue's arm a squeeze. "I know how geniuses are. All those book smarts, and no emotional intelligence at all. They don't see how they hurt us."
"They really don't," Pepper Potts agreed. She refilled her own glass, then held the now half-drained carafe up. Black Widow noticed her own glass was empty—and for a moment, her red eyebrows furrowed, and Sue was afraid she would refuse any more—but then she reached up and took it and refilled her glass.
"What is this stuff, anyway?" Jessica Drew said. The Spider-Woman had been unusually quiet throughout the evening.
"A protein shake mix," Sue said. "Non-alcoholic. Like a mocktail, I guess? My...I guess you would call him my boyfriend...he makes it."
That seemed to settle Jessica's qualms, as she took another polite sip.
"Who is your boyfriend?" She-Hulk asks. She tried to **** a smile. "He must be pretty special if..."
"He's a mutant," Sue Storm said flatly. She took a deep breath and dabbed at her eyes with a handkerchief. "And he has...the biggest cock I've ever seen. His sexual stamina is nothing short of incredible. I'm actually red raw right now."
Her face flushed as she said that, but it had the desired effect. All around the table, cheeks began to burn. In fact, some of the women were already starting to sweat. The irises in their eyes dilated. The women were feeling the same thing Sue felt, when she had first been exposed to Porkum's undiluted jizz.
Sue licked her lips. The evening was going exactly as Porkum had planned.
How does the evening end?
