Sue Resists The Urge, But Saves Them For Later

A lifetime of habits and discipline stayed Sue Storm's urge to jam another bonbon in her face. Instead, she carefully closed the box and handed it to the small robot next to her.

"H.E.R.B.I.E., stick there in the fridge. Somewhere the kids won't get them when they come back from Agatha's." Sue ordered.

The temptations floated away. Sue went back to the discard pile where the pink letter lay. She glanced once more at the photo of the strange mutant pig-man and his worm. For the first time, she noticed that the pink stationery had an odd scent to it, almost like a ripe cheese or chemical cleaner. The heroine took out a form note and added in her own hand:

"Thank you Mr. Porkum," she said. "Your chocolates are sinfully delicious. It's all I can do to resist eating them all!"

The note went into the self-addressed return envelope Porkum had thoughtfully included. Sue dropped it in the outgoing mail slot, and then floated away on her invisible chair to brush her teeth.

The days stretched into a week. Occasionally, Reed managed to send a message through the interdimensional communications array. Sue facetimed with her kids on the internet; Agatha scowled in the background, but Alicia was there with them, and they talked about their field trip to Salem and Starksboro. The Invisible Woman's heart ached a bit with loneliness; some intergalactic emergency had caught the attention of the Avengers, and now the only one to visit Sue every day was the nurse, who claimed that her wound was healing, but that it might take weeks.

So Sue sighed, and continued her daily schedule alone in the Baxter Building. Light exercise. A shower. Answer the mail. One of Porkum's bonbons with lunch. It was all she could do to resist the temptation to have more, but Sue was afraid her enforced sedentary lifestyle would cost her the trim figure she'd worked so hard on. Even so, each chocolate tasted like an orgasm in her mouth, the gooey, creamy center ran straight down her throat and left a slimy trail that had her licking her teeth afterwards.

It was only a few days after she had responded to Porkum's note that she had another surprise in the mail.

The dozen pink roses were lovely, if heavy-scented things. Sue could smell them as soon as she went into the mail room. H.E.R.B.I.E. floated by her side as she plucked the pink note from the vase. There was a card, too, with another self-addressed and stamped envelope inside. The handwriting was crude, but Sue deciphered that Porkum as glad she'd enjoyed his chocolates, and "there was more cream where they came from."

Her head swam from the bouquet's heady aroma. She asked H.E.R.B.I.E. to set them in her bedroom, where the light from the window would catch them. Hopefully she'd be able to enjoy them for a few days before they wilted and would have to be discarded.

Taking out another form letter, Sue jotted a polite reply thanking him for the flowers. She didn't dare write any more than that; she knew too well the type of fan that developed a parasocial relationship with heroes or celebrities. It was mostly why Sue didn't have much of a social media presence; she didn't want to mislead any casual online acquaintance into thinking they were friends...or more than friends.

That evening, Sue snuck another bonbon with dinner. The package was half-empty now, and it was guilt as well as boredom that drew her back into the gym not a second work-out of the day. Nothing too strenuous...at least, that's what Sue had intended. Yet she found herself doing crunches after crunches, until her abs burned and the sweat dripped from her body. Then she used an invisible forcefield to lift herself to the pull-up bars. Her pale hands gripped the bars as she hauled her chin above the bars, again and again, shoulders and biceps afire. Until she dropped, nerveless and spent, into an invisible chair. To pant and stare at the wall, dizzy and out of breath.

In time, she floated herself back into her bedroom. The smell of the roses was musky and heady. For a moment, Sue thought about having H.E.R.B.I.E. take the flowers out, not sure she could sleep with such rank scent.

Except Sue realized it wasn't sleep she wanted.

The Invisible Woman crawled into bed and peeled her sweat-stained gym clothes off of her body. The wound in her thigh throbbed, but Sue Storm spread her legs wide, and her small, delicate hand cupped her glistening mons. Her free hand balled into a fist and thrust into her mouth, her teeth bit into a knuckle as she began to rub, slowly at first, and then faster and faster. Until her hips bucked recklessly, and stabs of pain went through her injured leg. H.E.R.B.I.E. sat in his charging station outside the room and monitored the muffled screams for any hint of an order, but nothing intelligible came out.

The cries went on, the robot noted, until long past the Invisible Woman's normal bedtime.
