How does Sue Storm feel about kissing Nairobi, afterwards?
Sue Feels Fine
I kissed a girl, and I liked it...
The music that blared out of the Chinese restaurant synced with Sue Storm's own thoughts. She couldn't still taste Nairobi's chapstick, but she did feel...oddly okay with things. There was no guilt, no regrets and internal recriminations. The Invisible Woman felt oddly calm as she circled Central Park, taking her time on her way back home to sort through her thoughts.
Maybe that's because of my sessions with Dr. Stone, Sue thought to herself. The psychiatrist had been very helpful with Sue dealing with her mental stress, and had encouraged her in exploring her sexuality. Sue wondered if that was why she had even kissed Nairobi; having that voice of awareness and acceptance.
Because there was no way Sue could tell her husband.
Sue Storm wasn't sure how Reed would respond to the idea of his wife kissing another woman, but she had no intention of letting him find out. It was Reed who had failed to meet Sue's needs, it wasn't his business who Sue kissed. After all, it wasn't like she was actually cheating on him. She wasn't fucking a man.
The blonde bit her lip at the thought. Technically, she wasn't having sex with Nairobi either. Sure, the young woman had gotten Sue off several times, but Sue had never reciprocated...
Would I? she thought.
There was a cry that caught Sue Storm's attention. She saw a young man sprinting across the grass, a purse in hand, a woman standing and yelling.
Purse snatcher.
Automatically, Sue put up an invisible wall in front of the thief. He slammed into it at speed, bounced off with a bloody nose. Sue did a bit of mental gymnastics and the invisible wall fell on top of him, pinning him to the ground. She stepped forward and pulled the purse from the thief's hand, to gave it back to the owner.
"Oh, wow," the woman was Sue's age, or perhaps a few years later. The blue floral-print dress emphasized her breasts and buttocks, the long legs and the clear heels. She was mixed-race, an odd combination of almond eyes, the slightly flattened nose and broad nostrils of African-American ancestry, but the eyes were blue-green and the skin no darker than a white woman with a deep tan. "Thank you so much."
Their hands touched as Sue handed back the purse. Their eyes locked. A genuine grin split the woman's face.
"I'm Anna. Can I buy you a drink?"
It was bold. Unexpected. And the words tumbled out of Sue's mouth.
Does Sue Storm accept the drink?
