You aim your throwing knife, and make a loud yell. The startled rat turns to face the noise, only to receive a suprise knife to its left eye. It shrieks out in pain, and before it reacts you close the distance and delivered a fatal stab to its throat.

Happy at your performance, you double check to confirm the kill, before pulling your weapons free. You then cut off the tip of its tail and put it in a pouch to prove the kill to the guild. You take a moment to look at what it was chewing on, and have to stop yourself from throwing up. It is the remains of another porcelain adventurer, one that was clearly not as lucky as you. It is mostly chewed apart, but you spot a few useful things. First you grab the poor souls adventuring badge, knowing the guild will reward you slightly for reporting their demise. Next, you see a pouch with a few intact rat tail tips. You add this to your own... might as well have someone paid for the effort. Finally, you spot their weapon. It seems like a dagger with a minor enchantment, though you cannot tell what type.
