Success, time to head back to Naruto

Yes, there it was! She was greeted with the sight of a small glass spice-jar, barely large enough to hold a few ounces, yet filled with a brilliantly burnt orange powder. She let out a sigh of relief. But she wasn't out of the woods yet. She quickly went about returning all the ingredients she had collected to their hiding spots. And to make sure her parents wouldn't notice the aphrodisiac was missing, quickly took an empty jar, filled it with some soil and performed a henge technique on it. Perfectly indistinguishable.

Making sure she didn't mix up the real powder for the fake, she placed the decoy back into the safe and closed it up. But no sooner had she done that, than she overheard her parents chatting as they came in through the front. Ino cursed under her breath and tried to calm herself; her parents shouldn't suspect anything, all she needed to do was play it cool.

"Ino? Honey? Is that you back there?" called out Inoichi.

"Yes, Dad, it's me." Ino answered as sweetly and innocently as possible as she emerged from the backroom, trying to be subtle while holding the jar behind her back.

Her mother gave her a quizzical look, "Dear, what were you doing back there?"

"Uhh, I was just-" the young Yamanaka frantically tried to make up an excuse. "I was just looking for my purse. It couldn't find it in my room, so I thought maybe I left it here. But I didn't find it, so I gotta go- gotta keep looking for it." She awkwardly bluffed as she tried to slip past them.

Her father blocked her exit and smirked, "Well, it's funny you mentioned that, cause I noticed you left this morning without this," revealing a small purple pouch.

Ino's eyes widened at the flukiness of it all and decided to just roll with it.

"Oh my god, thank you, thank you, Daddy!" She gratefully chirped. But when she reached for it, he pulled it away.

"Not yet," he teased. "Ino, sweetie, I'm your father and I can tell when you're keeping something from us. So I'll give it back only after you tell me what you were really doing back there."

Well, crap, she thought. But before she could come up with another excuse, her mother intervened.

"For crying out loud, Inoichi, let her be," she scolded him before turning to Ino. "But, Ino dear, you know we don't like you in the backroom unsupervised, so tonight we're going to have a talk about it. Understood?"

"Yes, Momma. Sorry, Momma." But deep down, none of it was registering. She just needed to say whatever it took to appease them so she could get back to her Naruto. Tonight was an eternity away for her. And by tonight, she'd have him all to herself, and that was all that mattered.

"Good, you may go now," her mother permitted.

Ino quickly shuffled around them and out the door.

"Wait a minute!" called out her dad. She groaned at what could he possibly want now. "Aren't you forgetting something?"

"Oh, right!" She ran back, took the purse and expertly slipped the jar into it as she gave both her parents a hug.

Then, finally, she was on her way back to Naruto's place.
