Subdue a Demon King.

"Absolutely ridiculous." Even without the few step elevation she has over the rest, she would appear standing above--imposing, menacing. A towering shadow almost appears to loom, extending up from her very soul as a dark yet distant presence shrouds her already proud demeanour in a power truly fit for a queen of demons. The water around the room churns slowly. Her sexy dress flutters like umbra tendrils. "To even suggest I have such a weakness is the only thing here I would call embarrassing. I admit that when you revealed to me your identity is Demon King, Kyle Warren, you had more of my respect, though if you are to believe the lies of this clown, such feelings will turn once more like the tides. Make this easy for all of us. Flee now, with your tails between your legs like frightened dogs, because that is what you are. What class even are you? A simple warrior, perhaps a rogue? To be the mightiest Demon King, the blessings of Goa are not enough. You must ascend beyond the realm of a simple adventurer."

You can't help but smirk at her words. "The two of us aren't so different then, Gwyn. Don't underestimate how much we've been through."

Her teeth clench. "Do not call me such a thing, as if we are old lovers!" the elven woman screams with widened eyes. Her hand swings out in front of her, and as she does, dark magic threads down her arm, and from the tips of her fingers. "Grasp... of the Deep!"

Magic words. You react quickly as the spell comes forth with a far speedier cast than you first expected. A dozen deep blue tendrils like writing noodles come out from her hand. The way move--wide, sporadic, wanting--may pose a threat to anyone trying to dodge, though you have a different idea anyhow. Instead, you throw forward your first, and the moment it should take you, instead it's sucked into your ring in its entirety. In only a moment, the magic is gone, as if counterspelled. The best part is it seems Gwynevere doesn't understand exactly what happened, and you don't plan on letting her ponder on it.

Bolting forwards, you touch your hand to the ground and speak, "Entangle," before continuing towards her with your sword blazing with a mighty rosen light.

"Magic is merely an additional tool," she boasts with a precision strike forwards with her rapier.

Your blade meets hers, and you parry it to the side. "What a coincidence. Me too."

Meanwhile, in these short yet precious seconds of combat, the rest of your party is still hard at work keeping her two minions at bay. Nelli the jellymaid has squirmed free! Armed with her flail, she faces off against both Selinda and Kailani, though while outnumbered, this cleric is a dangerous foe. The vortex of her flail's head isn't quite mighty enough to suck in the kraken, thankfully, though her tentacles have met their match with the slippery boneless body of the jellyfish.

Snow isn't far away, and her bow is ready, though the other girl, Anyana, has emotionally recovered enough to continue the fight, threatening your ranged support. Snow isn't just an archer, however. Moving swiftly through the water, Snow kicks out at the unarmed anglermaid--her bow now in the possession of a cat--and she's surprisingly able to keep up with her opponent despite this being the domain of deep sea creatures. It isn't enough to take her down, at least not yet, but at least everyone is distracting one another. Though the tables of that fight start to turn when Candy appears behind them. Anyana and her nearly bump into one another, but the anglermaid stops and and pivots to see a jester staring up at her with her tongue out in a mocking manner.

"Abra cadabra," Candy chants as she dances around in place. It doesn't look like any normal spell being cast, though the uncertainly causes Anyana to retreat backwards to face them both, as to not turn her back on this new opponent.

As to not fall into a trap, Anyana swims in place with her arms out in a readied stance.

Unfortunately for her, the trap has already sprung. Candy points her finger towards the anglermaid and shouts, "Your armour is now filled with sea spiders!"

"Huh?!" Anyana looks down. To you, everything appears normal, though by the look on her face, something is wrong. Anyana absolutely freaks. She darts around near the ceiling, zipping back and forth faster than anyone has moved underwater so far. The poor girl is moving so quickly in her panic that she may as well be the cause of the Maelstrom's creation. "I haaate sea spiders!" she cries.

But you can't be distracted.

Gwynevere stares you down. "Unfortunately for you, this is my domain." She thrusts her foot down to meet the floor, and from it comes a surprisingly mighty wave of ****. The shock travels through the water, forcing your feet backwards, which also causes you to flip forwards. You panic and swim as quickly as you can to the side, though you feel the burning sting of her rapier across your side as it grazes the skin.

Shit! She's right. If she basically controls water, and we're fighting underwater, I have a severe disadvantage. But that's why I'm not gonna beat her in a normal fight.

"Thanks," you say. "It looks way cooler to win a fight after taking some damage first."

"That was only the beginning."

"I'm curious. Do you really only have two allies?"

"Of course not. But I do not need more to defeat you." Once again, she thrusts forward with incredible speed.

You pivot to the side and slam your blade across. The might of the strike causes her sword arm to open her defenses wider than ever.

She gasps. "That sword. It is so strong--"
