Struggle

You try to pull free of her grip or pull her fingers off your arm, but they're as cold and strong as solid steel. "Let me go!" you shout.

"Calm down!"she says. "I'm not going to hurt you. Look in my eyes! See?"

Without even thinking, you look. Her eyes are glowing bright red. From here they seem to be pulsating with bright concentric circles, drawing your gaze in. Too late you remember that one of the powers of vampires is supposed to be hypnotic eyes. You shouldn't have looked! You try to tear your gaze away, but her eyes draw you in. You find it impossible to look away!

You can feel your awareness slipping as you realize you are about to become hypnotized. You have enough willpower for one last act of defiance, though--one attempt at escape.
