Stripper

Jessica did not have a normal job. If you met her on the street, you would never guess where she went to work at night. Jessica was a stripper. It was her college roommate and childhood best friend Emma who had gotten Jessica into stripping. Emma had always been the wild one, especially when compared to Jessica. She had still been surprised when she found out where Emma’s new college job had been.

She had gone along a few nights with her friend just to see what it was like. Jessica had never been inside a stripclub before. It was like entering a whole new world. The lights, the music, the people. Jessica had been surprised how much she liked it, but it wasn’t still she saw the fat wads of cash Emma came back to the dorm with every night that she had decided to join her. It certainly wasn’t because she was a repressed former chatholic girl with series daddy issue...no way.

It was actually there that Jessica had met John. He had been just another drunk frat guy at the bar. To this day; she didn’t quite remember how he had convinced her to give him her number that first night. Their relationship had been awesome, but John wanted her to change. He expected her to stop stripping after they got engaged. A few weeks ago, she found out that he still hadn’t told his family what she did. They had a huge fight.

Jessica picked out an outfit that was very normal: jeans, sneakers, and a t-shirt. No make up, or anything. That was an illusion though. She didn’t have to start work for hours, and she kept her other...special outfits...in the changing room at the club.

Outside, the rest of the apartment was empty and quiet. Did John leave without even talking to me? Jessica shook her head. She brought out her phone and texted John a short message saying good morning and apologizing for sleeping too late. Then she was off.
