Stripped and striped

“Please don’t spray, please don’t spray, please don’t spray!” Begged Cindy as she slowly lifted the skunk near the window. It made a little hop towards the window still, and dropped inside. “I really hope this works, Sophie.”

“Is she gonna do something?”

“This can’t be part of the show, right?”

“I think the only ones who stripped are we, of our money!”

Margot rapidly walked to the stage, fuming with rage. “What are doing, you moron?! You are chasing away my costumers!”

“I… I… I… c-c-can’t…” stammered Carol, not even looking at Margot.

“Oh, for the love of GOD, have you lost your final brain cell? You are are here to strip, so strip, you stupid, insane ska-“

“SKUNK!” A man yelled from the audience. Total pandemonium broke out at the sight of the small critter, who in turn sprayed people in distress. Carol finally snapped out of her stupor and fled towards the exit.

“Everyone, calm down. I’ll catch that skunk and the show will continue. I’ll-“ Margot’s face turned white when she saw the skunk right in front of her, it’s behind turned right at her. “Ah, crap.”

As Carol and the crowd barged out of the building, Sophie ran towards her sister. “Carol!”

“Sophie? Sophie!” Carol hugged her sister, spinning her around. “I finally found you. But what are you wearing? It’s rather skimpy for your taste, isn’t it?”

“That’s a long story. But listen Carol, I am so sorry for dragging you here and not telling where I went. I hate that stupid Nudity Act, and Declan and my stupid classmates, but I never should’ve lashed out at you. You almost masturbated in front of a huge audience, because I had to just run away from the one person I never should’ve run from. God, I am such a stupid idiot!” Cried Sophie.

“Shh, it’s alright. I’m just glad you’re okay. But how did you know I was here?”

“Because of our friends.” Sophie tilted her head in the direction of Cindy and Karen, giving an awkward smile.

“Cindy. Karen.” Carol spoke coldly.

Cindy took a step forward. “Look, we were awful towards you…”

“You wanted to get rid of me…”

“And we definitely could’ve been more sympathetic.”

“You almost left me to die…”

“And we feel awful about that, so we continued to search for Sophie. I get that you don’t have to forgive us. We just hope that you at the very least understand that we are really sorry.”

Carol looked at the two in silence.
