Ethan sheds his wet shirt and pants, sitting on the couch in just his boxers. Thankfully, they stayed dry at least.
Being helpful, Alex drapes the wet clothes over some of the vacant chairs, in hopes they might dry out. Checking his phone, Ethan notes the storm is supposed to go all night, so they very well might. Rubbing his arms, he suddenly feels a bit of a chill.
"Cold?" Alex moves to the side of the couch, bending down.
"A little," Ethan frowns, "Looks like I'm going to get sick either way."
Rolling her eyes, Alex pops up, holding a backpack Ethan didn't notice before. "I got you... Covered." She smiles.
Ethan has no idea what she means or is talking about, until after she opens the backpack, producing a blanket. "Oh," Ethan gets it, "Cute."
Sitting down again, Alex unfurls the blanket, laying it over herself and Ethan. It's a fair large blanket and seems to be quite warm. Ethan gives it a small sniff, finding it to have a bit of a snuffy air to it.
"Why is this here?" Ethan eyes the backpack with suspicion.
"People bring blankets all the time," Alex scoots closer, pulling the blanket up higher. "Every now and then somebody forgets one."
"And how long has this been here?"
Alex tilts her head, thinking. "I don't know... Don't even know who left it."
Ethan sighs, not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth. "How many people know about this place?"
"Lots," Alex shrugs, "I mean, kinda. Kids have been hanging out here for years. Like, YEARS. So a lot of older folk know about it, although they don't come here anymore."
The idea of a generationally handed down make-out spot has a certain charm Ethan can't deny. Although he wished they picked a place with less creepy factor.
"Our age though? Not many," she motions towards the vacant seats with her chin. "Never seen a full house ever."
Ethan eyes the seats. He roughly counts out eleven spots, assuming a couch holds three. "Hm, 'our age'? You realize I'm older than you right?"
"Barely," Alex pouts, "We're of a generation thought."
"Uh-huh... So, did any people my age hang out here when you did? You know, back when you did."
Alex gives Ethan a weird look, something between playful and annoyed. "Technically... Yes."
"Technically?" Ethan rolls his eyes, "If you have to use the word 'technically', that means it might as well be no."
Alex clucks her tongue. "We'll you ARE here..."
"Hm. Hmmmm." Ethan widens his eyes dramatically. "So you admit you do still come here! What happened to not being a kid anymore?"
"Shhh, you!" Alex playfully pushes his shoulder. "I don't come here much. Honest!"
