Streaking with the Starlet

“Come on! When else are we gonna find a better night than this one?”

“I don’t know… how bout any other night.”

“Kurt come on! It’s homecoming weekend! Our last homecoming weekend!”

“I know! And we should be back at the frats enjoying it like everyone else!”

I should’ve known it was a fool’s errand. Arguing with Hillary always was. I loved her to **** and she’s my best friend… but once she got an idea in her head she was impossible to stop. Trust me I’ve tried. I must’ve had this argument over a hundred times the past 3 plus years over different things Hillary had decided to do (or in this case decided we were doing). I also knew that this wouldn’t be the last time we’d have this argument either.

“Everyone being at the frats is exactly why we should do it now!” I could see that glint in her eye. Every time she got some crazy idea she always had that glint. I don’t know how to describe it. That glint had given me enough stories to last a lifetime. And little did I know that it was about to give me the best story of my life this night.

“You know most people streak the quad during finals week.” I said relenting and letting her lead us towards the quad.

“Nowhere in University Tradition does it say you have to streak during finals week. It’s just when most people do it cause they’re lazy and put it off. Tradition just states we have to do it before we graduate.” Hillary explained as I followed her.

“You sound like a campus tour guide.” I laughed.

“Oh that be fun. Give the not safe for work campus tours everyone wants to take.” She joined in on the joke gesturing at buildings as we walked past.

“On your left is the Econ building. It’s rumored that Professor Doughty is a massive horn dog and anyone who wears a low cut top to his lectures is guaranteed at least a C+. And to your right is the Science lab building that I once fingered Sally Tomlinson behind after she swore up and down that she’d never hook up with another girl.”

“You hooked up with Sally? You never told me that.” I interjected.

“I good lesbian never flicks and tells.” She gave me a wink as she waggled her fingers. I rolled my eyes. It was one of the reasons Hillary and I got along so well. No matter how attractive I may find her I knew that no matter what I would never stand a chance. Hillary didn’t have a straight bone in her body and wasn’t shy about that fact. I was the first guy on our dorm hall freshman year to accept that fact and to stop hitting on her.

We’d been best friends ever since.
