Stray left

I look to my left, and then to my right. Eh, which side did I stray last year again? Whatever, there are men on either side. Let’s just go left.

After heading into the forest on my left, I quickly start looking around for a man. It is time for me to become a mother and honestly, I don’t really mind which man’s Samhain child I am going to get. It’s all because of my little sister, really. She has always been a shy girl and I am 4 years her senior. So, I really thought I would be getting married first, have children first … I mean, it makes sense, right?

But then Bodicca got caught on her first Samhain and she immediately got impregnated with a Samhain child. From the Marshall’s son, no less. He caught me on my first Samhain too. I sometimes feel quite embarrassed, knowing that my sister’s husband fucked both of us. She is now married with Killean, who is also apprenticing as the new marshal, so she’s got herself a good husband. And I am very happy for her. But still. She became the first at all the things that logically I should have been first at. It makes me feel like I am being left behind.

So yeah, I’ve made my decision. Tonight, I will get pregnant and the guy who catches me, or whom I catch, is going to become my husband, and I will move on to the next stage in my life. And if I don’t get pregnant tonight, I will seek him out after today and start a relationship with him and marry him the old-fashioned way.
