Straight out of town

Blue's pace is swift and determined. You nearly have to break into a full run to keep up with him. The two of you are almost instantly back at the intersection you crossed before, but this time he makes a quick look in both directions and makes a left turn. With his shopping done, you realize he must be making his way out of town. You almost trip when you realize that you'll pass both his house and yours as you make your way out of town!

He makes his way past both his house and yours without so much as looking at them. His gaze is focused straight ahead on the start of the route to Viridian City. To your dismay, when you turn to look at your house you see your mom in the kitchen window. She smiles and waves at you and Blue, seemingly completely unaware of your current relationship with him. You sheepishly smile and wave back. Even if you could tell your mom about your current situation there's nothing she could do about it now. You just hope she doesn't notice the collar around your neck. She thankfully doesn't seem to as she simply continues smiling at you before returning to whatever chore she was doing.

The two of you soon find yourselves at the edge of town. A simple sign notifies travelers of the potential to run into wild Pokemon past this point. With a quick look back at you to make sure you're still with him, Blue steps out into the grass, with you following close behind.
