Steps Towards Forgiveness

When we we eating lunch during school, the last thing any of us was expecting was for Heather to walk up to us.

"What do you want" snapped Lyn.

"I just wanted to know if I could sit here" Heather said nervously. I could tell Amy was about to snap, so I took her hand.

"Go ahead" I told Heather. Lyn looked like she was about to argue, but didn't.

"What, did you suddenly release how sexy we are" teased Jasmine, making me, Amy and Lyn groan. But Heather's red cheeks answered that question.

"Look, Amy. I'm really sorry for everything I did to you" said Heather. Amy didn't respond, and just looked away.

"What do you want Heather?" asked Lyn, who clearly wasn't happy that Heather was here. This seemed to get the blonde extra nervous.

"I j-just wanted to try being nice to you guys" she said. Then it clicked for me. My wish made Heather attracted to nerds. I'm not the only nerd at the table. Heather is not just attracted to me, she's also attracted to Amy and Lyn. That, makes me feel kinda guilty honestly.

"Why?" questioned Lyn. Heather took a deep breath before responding.

"Because I want to get to know you guys. And I recently got a massive wake up call. And I think you're really hot" she said, her blush getting bigger and bigger. Lyn and Amy were both shocked.

"Y-you think I'm hot" said Amy in shock. I could tell Jasmine was trying really hard not to laugh.

"Yes" said Heather, making Amy blush even more.

"Hey, if you're willing to turn over a new leaf, then I'm willing to let you try" said Jasmine. Lyn groned and Amy composed herself.

"Amy and I were planning on having a girl's night on Friday. If you're serious about changing, then you can come with. You'll have to pay for everything and prove yourself. Deal" said Lyn as she held out her hand. Hu, I didn't know that.

"Deal" said Heather as they shook hands. I couldn't help but smile. I still don't forgive Heather, but I'm willing to let her work for it.
