Chapter 23 by Eagle_Bacon Eagle_Bacon

How Does Recovery Go?

Step By Step, Day By Day

So there she was, standing triumphantly above her defeated foes, one of which was her original body, which was admittedly strange. In a fairy tale, this was the point that the story would end with a classic “happily ever after”, but this was no children’s bedtime story. No, this was reality, and Rosalind still had much ahead of her before she reached her happily ever after.

Well, the first order of business would be to finish dealing with the misfit boys. Sure they were knocked out and tied up, but Ricard was still in Earnest’s body and there was no formal prison in this small village. The first part of the issue could be fixed easily enough. Coltia took Earnest’s forehead onto her lap and started repairing the spell circle. Alesia came by, and fed a pellet to the **** man while Coltia worked. She continued to the other two misfit boys and fed them one pellet each as well. This was a sleeping **** that would ensure that there wouldn’t be any unexpected early awakenings. Coltia commented on Earnest’s body’s forehead as she kept drawing.

“Wow~ You really didn’t have to slam your head this hard.”

Rosalind watched Coltia as she worked and responded to the comment.

“I didn’t want to take any chances.”

Rosalind left Coltia’s side and went into the secret base. It was much messier than the last time he was here, likely because Ricard and Barnabas were packing to leave not so long ago. Well, they would certainly be leaving town soon, just not of their own will. Rosalind saw the unoccupied body of Ricard laying on the makeshift bed. As Rosalind approached it, she also noticed the accursed journal sitting atop the table at the head of the bed. She grimaced at its sight, but picked it up and dropped it on top of Ricard. She got another length of rope and put it on top of him too before shoving her arms beneath his knees and back, picking him up. The body wasn’t that heavy for Rosalind, but she felt the soreness and pain from her recent scuffle more strongly.

Rosalind carried Ricard outside and set him down next to Earnest’s body. She set the journal aside and tied Ricard up like she had done to the other men. While she was tying him up, Coltia finished repairing the possession spell on Earnest’s body’s head. Rosalind finished her last knot, and moved the two bound bodies into position, placing a hand one the back of each of their heads. She was about to bonk them together but was interrupted by Coltia.

“Hold on~ Hold on~ Don’t be too hasty~ He’s got to be awake for it to work.”

“Oh. Yeah, thanks.”

Rosalind looked over at the journal, recalling the experiments that detailed how the possession spell behaved. The mind that transferred through the spell circle did indeed need to be awake and “fluid” as Morgan described in their notes. Rosalind was surprised that Coltia knew this specific detail, as Earnest never talked about the fine details of the journal with her. Rosalind looked at Coltia and questioned her.

“How’d you know that?”

Coltia raised an eyebrow and met Rosalind’s gaze.

“The mind slime read your memories about the journal. Not just the pattern, the whole thing. I read quickly and have a good memory~”

Coltia tapped the tip of her pointer finger against her temple and gave Rosalind a charming smirk. Alesia made her way over.

“I heard what Coltia said. I have something to wake them up, but it would be dangerous to give it to them right now. I just gave them a **** to sleep after all. Wait maybe… half an hour, and it should be safe. They’ll be up faster than a man’s dick in the morning!”

Coltia and Rosalind looked at Alesia with slight confusion, but quickly accepted that it was just Alesia being herself. The three had traveled together for some time now, and had started to get used to each other’s habits and quirks. Alesia’s strange metaphors and humor was certainly one thing to get used to.

The group now had some downtime while they waited. Rosalind remembered the agreement she had with Coltia, and went back inside the base, returning to give her the burnt wicked branch that was in the crate. Coltia took it and stowed it under her robes, which flowed with ease as if there was nothing under there. Must be some sort of magic pockets or something.

Rosalind took the chance to finally relax a little. She found a particularly nice looking spot under a tree and sat down with her back against the trunk and her legs extended in front of her. She stretched her limbs out, feeling the soreness and tiredness of her body, but with a sort of satisfaction that came with stretching. She fully relaxed herself and got comfortable.

Before long, Earnest’s mind took notice of some sensations coming from Rosalind’s body. She felt a restlessness within her, a heat coming within. It emanated not only from her chest, but also from between her legs. Rosalind repositioned her arms, letting them hang by her side, crossing them, uncrossing them, putting them in her lap. She changed her sitting position, pulling her legs in and sitting with them crossed, then laying on her side, then on her back. No matter what she did, the restlessness never subsided. She came to the realization that the cause of her restlessness was that she was simply horny, incredibly horny.

She kept moving into different positions, and in doing so her forearm brushed against the breasts that Earnest’s mind was not used to having. Her arm only pushed by lightly, but it brushed past her nipple which sent an explosion of sensation into her body, feeding the growing heat inside her. The sudden and accidental stimulation made Rosalind gasp, but she quickly held back any further sound. She quickly looked at her companions, and was thankful to find that neither of them were paying attention to her. They seemed to be relaxing in their own ways.

An intrusive thought entered Earnest’s mind. Alesia and Coltia weren’t watching, maybe they wouldn’t notice a few subtle movements right? Earnest’s mind was still cautious, but couldn’t deny its curiosity, nor Rosalind’s body’s needs. She sat under the tree with her arms crossed and her legs straight in front of her. On the top half of her body, she made slight movements with her crossed arms in front of her chest, resulting in her overly sensitive nipples rubbing against the cloth that contained them. Down below, she pressed her thighs together and started to slowly rub them against another, enjoying the sensation.

These actions did nothing to relieve her arousal, in fact they only increased it to new heights. Rosalind felt her abdomen burn with need, begging for proper attention as she noticed that her undergarments were going from moist to wet to soaked. Earnest’s mind was strong, but it was in a body that was absolutely swimming in hormones and signals that were compelling it to satisfy itself.

Rosalind uncrossed her arms, letting one fall to the side and the other rest in her lap. She could feel some sort of attracting **** between the hand on her lap and the space between her legs. She hesitated for a moment, but at this point it was certain. Earnest’s mind let go as the hand subtly started moving downwards.

Earnest?”

Earnest’s mind jerked back into alertness and Rosalind’s body flinched and looked up at the source of the sound. It was Alesia, who was standing close to her, leaning forwards to look at Rosalind through her large glasses. Her expression was clear and innocent, and Rosalind hoped that she didn’t notice what was going on.

“Oh sorry, looks like I surprised you. It’s been about half an hour. We should finish this.”

“Oh yes, of course, sorry, I just got distracted.”

Rosalind got up, still absolutely dripping with arousal, but now that there was something to be done, Earnest’s mind took the body’s reins and kept Rosalind on task. She walked back with Alesia to the **** bodies of Earnest and Ricard, ignoring the uncomfortable wetness between her legs that she felt with each step. She noticed that Coltia was watching her approach. Rosalind hoped that she wasn’t watching the whole time. She really should have kept an eye out, but the insane need that her body felt distracted and fogged the mind, tuning everything else out. One look at Coltia’s face may as well have confirmed Rosalind’s fears. She wore a knowing smirk, one that wordlessly communicated her knowledge of Rosalind’s lack of self control.

“Back so soon~ I hope you had a nice time… relaxing~”

Coltia took her time saying that last word, making an effort to emphasize it as sensually as possible. Rosalind felt a shiver down the back of her neck as Alesia noticed that she was missing something that was going on between them.

“Uh, yeah. I’m feeling better with some rest. Her body is very sore and tired from fighting earlier, so I was just, uh, stretching and relaxing.”

“Mmm Hmm~”

Rosalind turned away from Coltia and went over to the two tied up bodies that were still positioned across from each other. Alesia went to Earnest’s side, and held up a different colored little ball of medicine the size of a pea.

“Ready?”

“Yeah, ready.”

Alesia tilted Earnest’s body’s head back and opened his mouth, then dropped the medicine into his mouth. After only a few moments, the man’s body began to stir. Rosalind looked to Coltia.

“How awake does he have to be?”

“Now is probably fine~”

Rosalind looked back to Earnest’s face. His eyelids were starting to move as his mouth opened to speak.

“Ugh, fuck-”

Rosalind swiftly brought Earnest and Ricard’s heads together, cutting off anything that Earnest’s mouth was saying. She took a little care to be gentle, but only a little. She held the two heads apart as Earnest’s body was **** once more and Ricard’s body was still sedated. She laid them both down as she considered what to do next.

Should Earnest’s mind be transferred back to his own body and Rosalind’s mind finally freed? Earnest’s forehead was looking worse for wear underneath the black smudged marks. Perhaps it would be better to wait a bit. She brought this up with Coltia and Alesia. After some discussion, they came to an agreement that it would be best to use Rosalind’s body for now. She could carry the tied up **** misfit boys back to town where they could be held, as well as Earnest’s body too. Despite her recent misbehavior, Rosalind was still trusted by the villagers as their officially assigned knight, something that Earnest wasn’t.

Alesia and Coltia stayed at the base to keep watch over the remaining members as Rosalind began to transport Ricard back to town. She slung him over her shoulder and made the trek back to the inn. She caught many looks and questions on her way back, and she explained that the misfit boys were being held for more than just the usual mischief. The villagers asked for more information, but Rosalind remained vague. When she arrived at the inn, she asked to use one of the storerooms that had a lock on it. The innkeeper obliged, and prepared one, removing anything that she might need and leaving only crates and barrels. Rosalind placed Ricard on top of one of the crates in a sitting position, then locked the door and warned the innkeeper not to listen to anything he said. She agreed, knowing how manipulative he could be, and Rosalind left to retrieve the next member of the misfit boys.

She made her way back to the base and repeated the trek with Thomlin this time, which was getting fairly exhausting by this point. He was much heavier than Ricard, and the walk was no shorter than before. Despite this, she powered through the tiresome task and delivered Thomlin to his temporary holding cell. Rosalind returned again and shouldered Barnabas, who was thankfully much lighter than Thomlin. He joined his brothers in arms in their inn-carceration. Rosalind returned to the base one final time, bringing the **** body of Earnest alongside Alesia and Coltia who walked alongside her. They returned to the inn, this time going back upstairs towards their rooms and entering Earnest’s room. Rosalind laid Earnest’s body down on the bed, after which Alesia and Coltia took seats on the edge. There wasn’t much space in the small room that was meant for one, but they made it work. On top of the desk, the black mind slime seemed to notice the return of the group and moved slightly, seemingly greeting them.

Rosalind was the first to speak up.

“Coltia, your plan worked perfectly! You’re brilliant. We’ve captured the misfit boys and saved Rosalind. Now we move on to the recovery phase. Most immediately, Rosalind’s body is exhausted right now, not only from fighting but from carrying four people all the way over here. Rosalind’s a ball of energy and enthusiasm, but everything has its limits. I want to discuss whether I should leave her body before sleep.”

Colia gave an answer, well not so much a definitive yes or no, but an answer nonetheless.

“That depends on what you think is best~ Rosalind’s mind has just witnessed her betrayal of the misfit boys that she was getting very… close with in the past few months. As the journal tells, the mind still receives the information and senses from the body while possessed, and experiences it similarly to a dream. If you leave her now, she may not comprehend why she took those actions, and ally herself with the misfit boys. It may be a good idea to stay in control of her for a few days to get her on our side. On the other hand, the black mind slime is a few days from being complete. It cannot read your memories while your mind is within Rosalind’s body. Waiting will postpone her treatment. I can’t say how that will affect its effectiveness, but I’d hazard a guess that the sooner~ the better~”

Earnest thought hard about which choice made sense to him, but his thinking was slowed by the constant nagging of tiredness and the unsatisfied horniness coming from Rosalind’s body. Alesia spoke up after Rosalind had been silent for a while.

Earnest… How much do you trust Rosalind to always take your side? I know you grew up with her, and are very… close… with her… but this dark magic is dangerous. She could be a different person at this point!”

Rosalind’s expression darkened as she heard those words. It was possible. Even if she wanted to reject the idea, it was a real possibility. Rosalind might choose the misfit boys over Earnest. She might have entirely forgotten him by now. But regardless of Rosalind’s mind, it was Earnest’s mind in charge right now, and he had to make the decision whether to trust the current Rosalind. He had to gamble on whether the current Rosalind had enough of the old Rosalind that he knew and loved left inside her.

Rosalind looked at her two companions and told them her choice.

Does Earnest Leave Rosalind’s Body
