Chapter 13

Does she get the chance to enact her plan. The Best plan. The plan that's so good we don't even know how good it is?
Step 1: Classic Misdirection
Tsan eyed the pirate with the revolver. He was tall, lanky and she suspected that his ears would have had a bit of a point to them under long, unwashed blue-black hair. He wore the weapon on a too-large belt that left it low on his thigh. The pirate seemed to command some respect from his fellows, greeted by each in low tones as he moved by in a slow circuit of the deck.
"Can you swim?" She questions the young man next to her.
He nodded, then gulped, wrapping his arms around himself against the night's chill. "Well yes, but I wouldn't want to try swimming for shore in this weather. Why do you-ahh!" His words were cut off, as Tsan planted her palm on his chest and shoved hard, knocking him from his knees to flat on his back on the deck.
The closest of the pirates moved to silence him, brandishing a cutlass threateningly. The closest being, not coincidentally, the lanky man with the revolver at that moment in time. He moved to brush past Tsan, ignoring her as he growled out, "Quiet, fool, or I'll gut you!" as loudly as he dared.
What did swimming have to do with it?

Tales from an Ailing Land
A selection of tales, mostly following an ill-fated elf, but probably some others too, within a fantasy world decaying under the weight of its own sins and decadence. (Prostitution, , , Elves, , Goblins, BDSM, More to be added) This is not a happy tale.
