Outcome
Stealth Failure | Perception Failure
Edmond followed the trail of goblin tracks closely, passing from shadow to shadow as he tried to trace the chaotic path. He glanced up at the canopy of the trees and the top of the hills, but worried that his blond head of hair or light skin might stand out against the shadowy forest backdrop, and so endeavored to keep his head covered by his hood as much as possible.
As he continued on his way he wondered if perhaps he had given the goblins too much credit, but chose quickly quashed that line of thinking. underestimating your prey got you killed. How many hunters underestimated a bear's speed or climbing ability and got mauled?
And so Edmond kept low and alert. A warbling bird cry rang through the forest, but other than that, he could detect nothing unusual as he continued on his way.
