Stay with Dan

"Okay, let's go," replied Leanne. Practically having to tear herself away from the old man. Once they were back in the corridor her desires seemed to reside, but she was already worrying about what might happen with the next resident.

They were walking along the hallway when they turned a corner and Leanne came to a standstill. Ahead of them was a creepy masked clown. The young woman leant into Dan and grabbed his arm for protection. She wasn't normally so afraid of clowns, but there was something sinister about this one. The mask, the way he stood silently staring at them, being in that gloomy corridor. Dan peered down at her.

"It's okay," he smiled. "It's just some guy in a Halloween costume."

Dan's words did little to comfort her. She still gripped his arm as the staff member led them closer to the costumed weirdo. Leanne ensured she was on the far side as they passed by him. Closing her eyes tight for extra measure. But then she heard Dan yell out.

"Hey! Watch iiii..." She looked up to see the clown aiming his fake flower in Dan's face and felt the tall staff member suddenly dropping as he lost consciousness. Leanne struggled to hold Dan up and he collapsed to the floor, dragging the young woman with him.

She peered up to see the clown standing menacingly over them. His masked face looking ever more sinister somehow. She tugged frantically at Dan's arm but he was unmoving. She really didn't want to be alone with this clown and needed Dan awake quickly.
