Stay where you are -- they'll come to you

Nothing'll go wrong if you just hold fast! You move your feet so that you're in a bit more of a power stance, and set your jaw as you watch the three monsters bolt across the grassy field towards the bridge.

"So, uh, have you got a plan?" Cameron asks, doing some quick adjustments to the forearm straps of his bladed shields.

"Nah."

"Mhm." He nods.

As Delilah rushes towards the monsters, roaring in response to their screeching, they all meet just at the very top of the bridge. With a heavy exhale, Delilah brings both of her sickles down on the one leading the pack the moment she reaches it, but both blades get deflected by a quick backhand of its scythelike arms. The sickles and chitin scythes interlink into a blade lockup, and Delilah grits her teeth as she tries to get her weapons free without giving the monster any sort of opening for its own attack.

To her surprise, and yours as well, the other two monsters do not slow down whatsoever. While the first remains engaged with her, the others part to either side of the engagement and hop up onto the wooden bridge's bannisters to keep sprinting past her, heads clearly focused on where you and Cameron are standing. Awesome.

Delilah lets out a grunt of dissatisfaction as the two monsters pass her, and breaks the bladelock before throwing a quick series of blows. You don't see any of them, or the response swings that the monster throws, but you hear the far-off chinking of traded and deflected attacks as you shift your full focus onto the two things rushing up to meet you and Cameron much faster than you expected them to be able to move.

You take a deep breath and ready yourself. You can do this. You're going to be a Warrior. You can do this!
