She did not. She should listen to the emergency broadcast that was no longer playing. She should stay home.

Sarah couldn't bring herself to leave. Not yet. She stopped her crying and went back inside. She kicked off her sneakers and shuffled to her bedroom upstairs. The house seemed so different. To quiet. No dogs barking, or cars passing by. No sound from her father watching a ballgame. In fact, it was quiet peaceful. Maybe she should just lie down and rest. Or maybe she should take inventory of what's in the house. Who knows when the power will fo out. Better to be safe then sorry, right?
