Stay home and prepare...

After thinking it through you decide to stay at home and try to work out a plan on how to insure your home and your own safety if this comes for you. The plan that you devise will take a few days but you believe that it will be worth it in the end. The one factor that affect this is whether people show up near your home or if they leave you and your land alone. The fact that you have a lot of food in both freezers and underground cold rooms will help you not go hungry. If you have to go hunting it will not be for another year at least.

Your property is expansive and many people know of your family's holdings around and in town. A lot of people in town barely know you compared to your parents and brothers. This has worked to your advantage before the outbreak of something around town. You hope that your family is safe and that you do not get caught up with the anarchy. After all of the contemplating , you decide to start working out a plan for your home.

After consulting what you have on hand you decide that you have a few options to go for but each has their ups and downs. One of these options is to start on a wall but that takes time, and resources. You would also have to use one of your outbuildings to complete it. You can also board up and armor up your home to make it harder to get into them. The downside though is that you can not see outside and increases your chance of getting attacked by a lot of things.
