You decide to listen to her. She won't be long...

Looking around the room some more, you manage to spot a magazine rack that you hadn't seen before. You pick one out, and it seems to be some kind of a tabloid. You flip through, looking at politicians, actors, sports stars, idols, all of whom look distinctly human and yet distinctly different. Sometimes, it's as mundane as different kinds of ears, but many have color that is distinctly inhuman - lush green, deep blue, bright red, tart orange. No matter what, all have various body types that would, for the most part, be considered conventionally attractive in your world. It's hard to involve yourself in gossip about a culture you know nearly nothing about.

Soon, the cat-woman comes back. "Sorry about that," she says, "one of the Displaced had some... trouble with the in-laws. Now, if you would please come with me."

She leads you through the system of hallways in the facility, which feel like a labyrinth to you. The only thing that you can notice is that there are sometimes strips of colored paint, which do much to break up the monotonous white and pale gray that seems to predominate the facility. However, you finally make it to the end of a hallway, where you see a pair of double doors. The catwoman produces a keycard and swipes it. The doors slide open, and you follow her into...
