Stay At Home Until Your House Is Built

"Your bed's all ready and waiting for you, Son." Dad says.

You carry your mate home and lie her down on your bed. You want her to get plenty of sleep, so you leave her there, and go out to the living room where your parents are cuddling. You sit down across from them, and smile seeing them be so loving and intimate, hoping one day that you will have that kind of relationship with your mate.

"How is she?" Mom asks.

"Sleeping peacefully." you respond.

"Hey, Son." Dad says. "I still have the collar and leash I used for your mother around somewhere, do you want it?"

Mom looks at Dad. "You still have that old thing?"

"Sure do. It's a memento of our first year together. I couldn't throw it away."
