Status Update - Team Badass

Cassie was still nursing her hand a bit in her new room as she had not held back on her slap of Barbie. She hasn’t meant to do it so hard, but it really did sell it to everyone just how betrayed she had felt and got rid of any doubt that she was undercover. Cassie looked at Julianne, who appeared even more dejected than usual in the top bunk, and Tina, who had enjoyed her team but was trying to make the best of it next to Cassie

Cassie finally spoke up and said, “I guess Julianne is gonna have to show us how to be a badass since she’s last part of the original member, eh Tina?”

Tina smiled and said, “I enjoyed my time on Team Gorgeous, but if I’m being honest Badass always seemed more like my bread and butter. What exactly happened out there, Julianne?”

Julianne peeked down and honestly felt more connected to the these two since Lexie was someone that was much more abrasive and Mel was kind of her lap dog. She spoke, “Well, we pursued them to the old hideout and found that a new base had been set up there. I went in alone for recon since neither of them knew the base. I found Barbie’s old laptop and found the incriminating evidence that I can show you two.”

She tossed her phone down to Cassie as both of them zoomed in on the picture. Tina spoke, “Oh my gawd! I heard only rumors, but it was true that three girls were converted to Naked Forever before the majority of us arrived. Barbie literally spelt it out as the one responsible for all of this. Is the Jenny in the email…”

Julianne had hopped off the top bunk and was sitting on the floor in front of her two new roommates and said, “Yep…my other half…apparently she was so brainwashed that Barbie made her say that she was innocent…I can’t believe I feel for that shit and trusted Barbie as my sister…”

Cassie embraced Julianne to the surprise of both her and Tina. Cassie spoke softly, “I can’t even begin to understand losing my sister to Naked Forever. Mel’s friends walked out of me trying to convince them not to go and it stung so very deeply to see them so brainwashed at that point. I can only imagine the pain you have had all of this time.”

Tina joined the group hug and said, “Seriously, girl. I couldn’t imagine losing my sister either. She was there when I had lost everything to Naked Ambition. I can only imagine you two were even closer considering you were in this thing together.”

Julianne sobbed a bit and said, “Thank you…both. I haven’t really had time to even think about all of this but today proved to be my emotional breaking point. You two probably are regretting the room reassignments now. I’m not much of a badass as you can see.”

Cassie stood everyone up and said, “Are you kidding me? You snuck into the enemy’s base, found evidence and didn’t get caught. Also, you crying in front of us is also extremely badass, at least to me. Hopefully, Tina and I can have an ounce of that badassery as well.”

All three girls chuckled as Tina said, “So what does team badass need to do? Are we the group that fucks shit up?”

They roared with laughter as Cassie said, “Chantelle seemed to be wanting to figure out the next step. Maybe she let Barbie go to use as bait for the bigger fish. She seemed to have found the cameras before anyone.”

Julianne was slightly intrigued and said, “Wait! That’s right I heard her talking with my old teammates before any of this went down. Why did she wait to make any moves?”

Tina spoke up, “Maybe she needed the concrete proof since so many of us would have said she was the rat instead of trusting her word.”

Cassie clapped her hands and said, “Brilliant deduction, my dear Tina. It seems like maybe as Team Badass we need to keep our head on a swivel then, eh Julianne?”

Julianne looked to be refreshed and said, “Sounds like a plan.”

Cassie had at least become friends with them but she knew she could do more to gain their trust with one simple action as she spoke: “Julianne, I don’t know if you want to but I have a way to check on Naked Forever girls. Did you want to see Jenny?”

Julianne and even Tina were both shocked by the statement. Julianne looked eager but asked, “So if I do find Jenn through your account, what do I even do with her? I imagine I can’t summon her here like Barbie had done for Laura.”

Cassie put her hand on her new roommate and said, “I don’t have those powers in the US, unfortunately. However, I can get you a 1 on 1 meeting. She may be leaning more to the sexual side of a conversation but you can do whatever you want with her. Lucy did this all the time with Laura under a fake name. You don’t have to do that but here take my phone if you are interested.”

Cassie handed her phone to Julianne as she said, “I don’t even know how to thank you…I haven’t seen her since that day. I didn’t even know this was possible unless we took down Naked Ambition. I’ll do it right here and now. She would probably like to see my new friends.”

Cassie smiled to herself and said, “Of course! We would love to meet your twin, right Tina?” Tina nodded as they watched Julianne scroll through all of the girls in the phone as apparently Jenny was fairly common. She knew this was a way to slowly weaken the hold that the real rat was playing at.
