Starting To Go

Of course the week dragged by as both Lynn and I were more than looking forward to being alone for two days for the first time since mom and her dad said they were getting married. To hide our delight, Lynn kept up her charade of disliking me and every chance I got when she was in my presence, I would walk out, deliberately ignoring her.

Finally Friday came around and we were all gathered at their place, loading the cars with what the parents decided what was going to be needed. Lynn to her credit brought a pair of long range walkie talkies over, handing me one. We set the frequency so we would be in contact while driving to the cabin.

“Now if you get lost just press the red button and I’ll tell you how to get back on course!”

“Yeah, I’ll doubt I’ll need to contact you since your father wrote detailed directions to follow!” I used that as a chance to get a dig into Lynn. Taking a piece of paper out of my jacket pocket, “I made a copy of the direction so you wouldn’t have to rack your brains about if you're going the right way!”

Handing the paper to Lynn, she pretended to read them then crumpled them in her left fist.
“The day I forget how to get to my family’s cabin is the day I forget how to breathe!” She then grabbed her clutch bag and stormed out of the house. Seconds later there was the spinning of tires and the sound of a car driving away.

I was about to go out myself when mom stopped me. “Jim don’t antagonize Lynn, you two will be alone until Owen and I get there either Saturday Night or first thing Sunday morning!”

“Hey, she started it!”

“I don’t care who started it, just be the bigger person and try to get along with her. So you don’t ruin the chance to get to know her!”

I promised Mom I would be on my best behavior, then started my trek to their cabin. The trip was uneventful, a couple of time i was tempted to call Lynn on the walkie talkie but worried if mom and Mr. Weber had a walkie talkie tuned into the same frequency. As it was I arrived about a half hour after Lynn, so I had the pleasure of unloading both cars and putting everything away.

Finally done I went in search of Lynn finding her in the room in the loft already in bed. She lifted the cover and motioned me under the cover. As I approached, I started to giggle.

“What’s so funny?”

I got under the cover, dropping my pants and t-shirt on the floor by the side of the bed. “Oh I promised Mom to be on my best behavior so I didn’t ruin this weekend and to be the bigger person between us!"

"And that’s funny why?”
“Well, I been told that I have something big and I have to say I never promise not to fuck anything this weekend!"

Now Lynn joined me giggling as we finally hugged each other and kissed for the first time in a long while!
