Start with baby steps

“I don’t know if I can tell everyone about it just yet but I’m willing to give it a try with maybe one or two people…I think” she revealed, continuing to look hesitant about admitting just that.

“I was being serious when I said you don’t have to if you don’t want to” you reassured, seeing her looking a little unsure before she looked you in the eyes.

“No I think it's something we, well I should do. I want this idea you've got to succeed just as much as you do and there's no point expecting everything is just gonna fall into place around me so I’ve got to take the first step at some point” she replied, perking up as she spoke as if she was convincing herself just as much as you.

She looked at you with a smile to tell you she had finally made up her mind and although you didn’t want to push her, you let a smile appear on your own face as well before asking her the next question.

“Okay, any ideas on who you would or wouldn’t wanna talk to first? I do have my own thoughts on it but I’ll leave it up to you again” you asked, making Emma turn her attention away from you as she thought about the available subjects.

“Definitely not my Mom first. That's a conversation I’m still not ready to have. Other than that… I guess the only person I’ve spent a good amount of time with would be Sarah so maybe her?” Emma replied, voicing her thoughts out loud to you while she went over her option.

“She was one of the two I thought were the best, the other being Rebecca as she’s still sort of split off from everyone else at the moment. That might change in the future but at the moment there's less risk of your secret getting exposed. Sarah on the other hand would be better for the exact opposite reason like you said. I can only assume this but you probably have the most trust in her compared to the rest, except your Mom, and I’m almost positive she wouldn’t tell anyone.” you explained getting a nod from Emma as she started thinking about your reasoning.

“I get why Rebecca’s a good choice for me but what does telling her my kink do in the grand scheme of things? Like you said she's split off so all the other subje… You know what, I’m just gonna call it your harem, It sounds sexier that way and we’re alone so I’m using it” Emma started to ask before cutting herself off with a smile and continuing her question.

“She’s isolated at the moment so how does that help you?”

“Well, it's more to deal with the backlash if she doesn’t know if that makes sense? At the moment she has no idea that you're my girlfriend and it's not like us being together is the spiciest piece of gossip that will fly through the halls. At the moment she just believes that she's the only one I’m involved with romantically” you answered.

“And her finding out that she's your side piece probably isn’t gonna go down well?” Emma replied with a smirk.

“Exactly” you confirmed.

“That… actually makes a bit more sense now.” Emma admitted, think about her options now that she could choose both or just one of the two subjects that you thought were the best to start with.

Emma’s acceptance of the new situation had taken a lot less time than you would have thought and taking a quick glance at your phone to check the time, showed that there was still plenty of time left on your lunch for her to now choose the next option going forward. Again, you let her decide her fate given the weight of the decision and happily sat there while she leaned her body against your own, hoping that was enough to show your support.

“I think I want Sarah to be the first to know and then depending on her reaction, I’ll see about telling Rebecca and the others” Emma revealed after a few minutes of silent contemplation.

“Any reason why you picked her other than what you said before?” you asked.

“It was mainly that but I dunno… I’ve got the feeling that her kink might make it a bit easier for the two of us to relate” she answered, messing with the hem of her shirt to distract herself.

Her logic did make sense but you didn’t mention that Grace probably had the fetish closest to Emma’s. One liked watching and the other liked being watched so you were pretty sure that the mother-daughter combo would become a lot more interesting in the future but for now, Sarah seemed to be the gateway to the unity you were looking for.

“You got any plans in mind on how I should bring it up to Sarah?” Emma questioned, unsure of how she would breach the topic with your sister.

“Well I have a few things in mind but I’ll ask you a question first, do you want me to be in the room when the two of you are talking or would you rather just talk with her one on one?” you asked back.

“Definitely with you in the room” Emma replied almost immediately.

“Then I think there are a few ways we could bring it up to her” you answered, starting to explain your thought process.

The time you had left on lunch was dwindling but you spent most of the remaining time talking through your ideas and plans that you had come up with in the case that this was ever going to happen. Some were more thought out than others while others weren’t and Emma also had some of her own ideas that helped the two of you come up with something that seemed to be enough to make Emma feel a bit more confident about the whole affair.

You were both keenly interested in the topic as the two of you stopped leaning back against the tree and had straightened yourself out to focus more on the conversation. For the most part, you'd planned the basics of the conversation as well as a few failsafes in case Sarah’s reaction was on the unexpected side. The only thing you had left to work through was when to actually pull Sarah aside and put your plan into action.

“You wanna talk with her later tonight after we’ve had our dinner? I’ll speak with her on my own first like we agreed but we can do this on a different date if you'd prefer” you advised, getting a shake of the head from Emma.

“No, it's best if we get this done as soon as possible. Less chance of me chickening out that way” Emma replied with a smile.

“See, it's not that easy confessing your feelings to someone is it?” you teased back, getting a shove from your girlfriend who seemed to be looking a lot less agitated now that you had wrapped up your plans.

With the both of you now somewhat relaxed and the most important issue now dealt with, you couldn’t help but want to be a bit more intimate with Emma. All things considered, Emma was the one you had been the least sexual with out of all your subjects and the fact that you still got a bit nervous whenever you wanted to progress things with her kept you grounded compared to everything else going on with your life.

The simple thought of wanting to kiss her brought a blush to your cheeks that you could feel rise across your face but you still wanted to make that thought a reality.
