Squirtle

"I'll take the water type, Squirtle." You tell the professor, reaching out and taking the pokeball containing the adorable water pokemon. "I think I'll name him Ace."

"An excellent choice." The professor praises. "I have some more gifts to help you get started, let me see here." He fishes around in his desk then pulls out a sizable package handing it over to you.

As you open the gift he tells you what each individual item does as you pull it out. First is a red cellphone sized device with a touch screen. "That's the newest model of pokedex, with additional features added to help understand both your pokemon and your pokeslaves. I hope to gather more data and learn how the pokeslave process truly works." Next you pull out a leather belt with ten pokeballs, five standard balls and five strange black balls. "Those are pokeballs, for catching new pokemon and the latest custom balls from silph co, **** balls. They're specially designed for catching pokeslaves and are supposedly more comfortable for humans."

"Thanks professor." You say, "I'll do my best to-"

Your cut off as the door to the professor's door flies open. "Hold up nerd!"

You groan as your long time bully, Lapis strolls in. Crossing your arms you glare at him as he cockily strolls over to the table with the two remaining pokemon. "I'm here for my pokemon." He declares.

"Of course." Professor Oak says giving you an apologetic look. "As you can see Maroon already took one, but you're free to take one of the remaining pokemon."

Lapis chuckles, "Of course, just as planned. I've been waiting weeks for you to turn 18 so I could put you in your place." He gives you an evil smile then turns his attention to the pokemon on the table. "You took Squirtle, huh. I guess I'll take Bulbasaur then."

"Really? You waited all this time just so you could take a pokemon with an advantage over mine." You shout.

"Of course. Being a great pokemon champion is all about thinking ahead. It's not my fault you're too dense to know that." He leers at you and continues, "Now, I challenge you to a battle."
