Springing the trap

The day had finally arrived.

"You ready for this?" Carol inquired, getting a nod from her sister. If all went to plan, Delia Ketchum would soon be Delia Maple, proud mother of both women.

"Yeah." Caroline answered and looked to the door. Delia was rapidly approaching. This was their only shot at this. The plan would fall apart otherwise.

A knock followed, with Delia taking the time to ring the doorbell of all things. After around two presses, Carol pulled the door open.

"Welcome to our home, mother." she greeted, Caroline holding a rag up to Delia's mouth. "When you wake up, you'll still be like that."

As for Delia, everything went dark for her...
