Spreading the word

After everyone gets cleaned up and dressed, the four of you make your way back outside. You see that Saya has finished cooking, and the table is loaded down with food. Most of the girls have plates already, and the four of you grab some for yourselves.

Mazzy is the first to say something, amusement in her voice. “So…worked up an appetite, did we?”

Dakota giggles. “We did, and it was wonderful!”

Lisa laughs. “Is that jealousy I hear, Mazzy?”

Mazzy shakes her head. “Nope! Brian gives me everything I need. I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves, though!”

Dave grins, putting an arm around Saya, who smiles and leans against him. “Not something we’ll do every week, but it was a lot of fun. You’re a lucky man, Brian.”

You nod, smiling. “I’m well aware. I could say the same for you, though.”

Kenna leans against your back, resting her chin on your shoulder. “Yes, everyone is hot, we know! But we should share our news. We told Katie and Saya, but you were so eager to run off that we couldn’t say anything!”

Dave and Lisa look at you curiously, and you chuckle. “Well, it’s nothing too crazy. First off, we’re building an extension on the house.”

Lisa smiles, nodding. “Makes sense, the bed is probably a bit crowded.”

Dakota laughs. “We like it like that!”

You roll your eyes. “Yeah, there’s been no complaints. But really, it’s because we’re having someone new join us soon.”

Dave stares for a moment, then laughs. “Damn, man! You really are building quite the family!”

You chuckle, and tell the story of your first few days at the AWIO. Dave and Lisa listen closely, smiling as you describe your meeting and conversations with Sirona. After you finish, Lisa speaks up.

“And the rest of you are on board with this, I’m guessing?”

There’s general agreement from the girls, and surprisingly it’s Ellie that says more.

“I h-haven’t met her myself, but Mazzy s-says she’s quiet and shy. L-like I am. And Brian s-says she’s really pretty.”

Mazzy nods. “I can confirm, she is both of those things.”

You smile. “And she seems really excited to join us. We’re just waiting on the construction, so probably the middle of the week.”

Dave nods. “Well, I know you’ll treat her well. I look forward to meeting her next time you guys visit, and I promise we’ll be on our best behavior.”

Beside him, Saya grins. “You’re the only one he should be worried about, you know…”

Lisa laughs. “She’s right! You’re the troublemaker here, love!”

Dave gives you a pained look. “You see what they put me through, man?”

You chuckle. “Yeah, but I bet I know why you suffer through it, too.”

Everyone laughs, and conversations go back to small talk. The food is great, and the company is even better.
