Spotting something odd...

Over the next few days you were Anton's constant shadow, the more time you spent around him. The more amused it seemed to make him, it didn't help that all of this contact was bringing back half forgotten fantasies. Something your older brother seemed to pick up on, not that he made much comment about it to you. Other than a few sly taunting comments, about having a little lost puppy dogging his tracks. To be honest you were starting to feel pretty stupid, your brother was the same charming asshole that he had always been. Maybe he had a bit more insight into you than he had before, but maybe he really had heard people in the village talking about you. Maybe he had finally noticed, that there were more people in the world than just him. He had certainly never paid much attention to them before, Anna was the first person that he had ever seemed to think about other than himself. Was that one of the things you were supposed to be noticing, somehow you kind of doubted that it was. You watched Anton go about his days, practicing his weapons skills, horseback riding, and all the other things he had been doing for years.

Your father seemed to separate himself from you all the more, over the next few days you only saw him at dinner. Otherwise he just didn't interact with either of you, except when he called you up onto the tower late at night. It always started the same way, some obscure question about something you hadn't thought of in years. You answered his questions and made your report, not that you really had much to tell him about Anton of course. It wasn't until the fourth night, that you spotted your brother creeping around the castle late at night. This surprised you so much that instead of going to the tower, you discretely followed along behind Anton as he moved along quietly. You wondered where he might be going, and what he might be up too. Slowly you followed him into the north wing of the castle, where a number of your fathers married Knights lived with their wives.

Turning a corner you are confused to see, not your brother walking down the hall but one of the young Knights. As you watch he strolls up to a door, knocking softly on it and a moment later the young wive answers. Her eyes lighting up as she spots her handsome husband standing there, instantly she embraces him and they kiss for a long moment. "What... what are you doing here? I thought the lord had you guarding the counting house." She asked after their kiss finally ends, and she leans back looking up at her handsome handsome.

"I was relieved early by a friend... so I could get back to you." He answered vaguely, not that the lack of details seemed to bother his wife in the least. "Like you were saying if we want a child now is when we must try." He pointed out picking her up and carrying her into the room closing the door behind them. Leaving you peeking around the corner in confusion, you are sure that your brother came this way. Yet there is no sign of him now, slowly you sneak down the hallway looking and listening. But you find no sign of your brother the rest of than night, even though you search for him for hours.

You rise early the next morning, finding your smiling brother having breakfast as the sun is rising. Glancing out the window you are surprised to see that same young Knight riding into the castle. He is looking tired like he has been wake all night on guard duty, as he pass's through the dining hall Anton smiles and waves to him. "I trust the night guard on the tax's was uneventful." He called, as the young Knight assured him that it had indeed been a uneventful shift.
