Speak the plan.

Once in your room with the door shut tight, you turn to the two girls. "You're both brilliant artificers," you explain. "The best I know. Though the only other artificer I've met is Elok I guess, and he does have some crazy contraptions, that guy sucks ass, so the two of you still win. Anyway, I thought up a plan, but it only works if you girls tell me it's possible."

"Well geeze," Fava says. "If you took us to your room to flatter us, I suppose it is starting to get a little warm in here... Maybe I should slip into something else."

"W-Woah! I don't think that's what he's doing!" Mina exclaims. Somehow, the water stays perfectly atop her head as she moves around.

"I know that, Mina. You're way too easy to mess with for someone who makes such fun little inventions."

"Wh-What inventions of mine have you seen?"

You clear your throat. "Tracking devices."

"What devices?" Mina asks.

"Would you two be able to design and craft two tiny magic items that could be secretly placed safely outside or inside the two spies we captured, so that we would be able to track their position? Or even better, hear or see through. I'd like to do some spying right back, though using their very own people, if that's how they're going to play."

"Ahh. Clever." Fava scratches her chin, though you wonder if she can even feel that. Then suddenly, she lays back at the end of your bed. She falls flat, giving Mina yet another scare, but then from a compartment behind her, a tiny pixie body rises up. Fava flutters up to eye-level and scratches her chin for real. "I like that idea."

"The tracking part seems like the easy part, but making it unable to be found sounds more difficult," Mina explains.

"But I like the challenge," Fava responds.

"Don't speak of this at all. Not to anyone, or even out loud to yourself," you say. "When you let me know how it's going, come to me privately. That's all I wanted to discuss. In the meantime, I have other plans."

"What plans?" Mina asks.

"Nothing super secret. I'm gonna travel out again, but with a few others. I want to speak with a couple people who may know more than most. At least, that'll be the start of it." You walk over to the door and open it slowly. "Hey, Yin! Are you around the castle?" You raise your voice, though try not to shout, knowing it'll at least somewhat carry down the stairs.

After a brief pause, a plume of black smoke appears right in front of you, causing you to ****.

"Yes, Master!" Yin bows politely. "Are we going back to the lake?"

"... No? That's a really specific question. I was gonna ask if you could gather a few people for me in the throne room."

"Oh of course, Master. Who would you like me to find?"

"Fang, Snow, Eva, and Lalarin."
